I am a woman and my father taught me at 18 years old how to change my tire. It came in handy because I had to change my tire on the side of the road twice.

My Dad taught me to change a tire at 14. He didn’t want me to one day be trapped on the highway and some strange man tries to “help” me and it ends up being a creep and I get kidnapped or worse. Some things we learn out of necessity to the cray crays out here.

Actually, there are some men who find it attractive that women can do some things that men do. Men have loved it when I say I ride motorcycles, fix stuff in my house, and build things like cabinets and shelves. Changing a tire doesn't have to be a masculine specific thing.

I went to school for auto mechanics. My hands did not look like that because i washed my damn hands. But I got custody of my brothers 3 kids(1,2,4) and didn't get to finish school and I wish I had. I really wanted to work on diesels but the class was at the timeframe i was working. Hell i changed my tires plenty of times but now I'm lazy. I sit back and let roadside handle it. Especially when the weather bad🤣
