No matter what Kanye does or how irrationally he acts in the present day, nothing will ever take away from the fact that he’s made some of the best music in his generation.
he an artist, he emotional and sensitiv....he wants to prove himself to the world....problem he already way bigger than he realizes Good luck yeezy...get well and be yourself.....fuck the rest cause u one o the best
The fact that Chris of all people collaborated with Kanye is just amazing, it's a clear example of how two people from different genres can make a masterpiece.
This is in my opinion, Kanye’s best work. The storytelling, the hard lyrics, but most of all Chris Martin’s feature. Dude’s voice is actually angelic. I could listen to “baby do you remember when, fireworks at lake michigan?” for hours
I joined the military and was gone from home for 10 years. I relied on this song to make it back home and be with my friends and family. This song was my lifeline. I got out of the military and my family and friends were different. I came home but my home wasn't there. Listening to this song is like sitting in the past and I remember the good times. I wish I never joined so that I could have held onto what made me feel whole-family and friends. Now, I use the music that was out when I joined to remember the past. It gives me goosebumps. I wish things were the way they were before but time moves on.
I left home a few months ago, this song passed my mind as what I'm gonna listen to on the plane/train home knowing I'm going home to start something new, and start something again (school)
He grows on people, when he met Trump I deleted all of his songs, then I watched Alot of his interviews, and realized the media twisted his image and words, I'm listening to him again.
@@gqpromotionchanel not even that, all that trump shit don't define Ye's career at all. It seemed like y'all completely forgot who that man was because of his opinion idk if you was a real supporter of him if you did that. 🤔
The music and film industries are under the rule of lucifer, who is the master of masonry club. Think about it, all their HITS are about lust and fornication and being stressed and depressed, wanting to be done by “life”. None of them has meaning in their music.
“Do you think about me now and then” this part hit hard for me, I transferred schools for highschool I always think about if my friends from before thought about me after I left and transferred I took the harsh reality and that no one will remember me. “Maybe we Can start again” I always thought the ups and downs of transferring like I could start again but yet I couldn’t forget the memories in the back of my mind. This song has a special place in my heart from Ye’s quotes in the song and Chris martins quotes too
i hope his kids can look past his behaviour over the past few years and see what he has actually achieved with his music. he was one of the best in the history of hip hop
Joao Vitor Costa oh yeah dude, totally. Being born in a place where there are constant shootings and lots of gang violence along with extreme poverty is not bad at all
Don't even get me wrong, Drizzy could spit...only haters gonna deny that shit but when it comes to you really feeling the lyrics and identifying with his pain from his passion, that's what Yeezy does. They basically both talented in their own unique ways with certain strenghts and weaknesses.
Its been about maybe 6 months since ive been a kanye fan and hes the best rapper ive ever heard, his songs and lyrics have helped and inspired me so much i honestly feel uplifted when i hear them, i mainly focus on his good songs which is difficult since there are so many, kanye has helped me in so many ways, just to hear the instrumental of god is or the opening to father streh my hands, kanye is a rapper like no other.
After watching his documentary on Netflix, I love his songs even more. He really hustles to get that deal and respect to Donda, who was always supported him.
Every man black/white/hispanic/asian/etc should have that soul-sealed connection with his mother. No it doesn't make him a "mama's boy" or anything to that effect, it teaches him class/respect for women/ not to mention how she envisions a good man.
I am sad, sad for whats happening right now but at the same time extremely grateful for this man's existence, he is a genius a virtuoso and a master of his craft who gave me so many good memories through his art, I will always be greatful to you for your music and will always respect as creator and a musician Thank you Kanye
***** but his music isn't actually that popular. His older shit (from his first 3-4 albums) got heavy airplay and sales, but ever since, his stuff has been popular every now and then. And his best album was one of his lesser selling albums.
***** Fine. Lets take this into consideration. And i expect a valid rebuttal or else i will not reply. Kanye changed hip-hop. He has 6 of the most acclaimed albums ever released (My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is regarded the best album of the 2010's so far). Lets not ignore the fact that he has 21 Grammy awards. His albums have been well received by legendary musicians like Bruce Springsteen, Lou Reed, Bono, Bruno Mars, Nas, Elton John, and even Obama (despite his Jackass comment referring to Kanye). The list goes on but i'll stop there. He changes his style on every single album of his. He began with soul sampling on his first album, to a baroque approach on his second album, then he incorporated electro/disco in his third..... all the way to his most recent album Yeezus, which was industrial hip-hop. He can mix genres, sample without difficulty, and is a VERY creative artist, who is overlooked because of his childlike antics. I feel you haven't listened to his music and hate because you do what the other brainwashed sheep do. But there i proved your point wrong.
***** not this song though you fucking idiot. And not any Kanye song talks about women in a demeaning way. Listen to his first 2 albums for more insight.
+LUKE ANDERϟϟON I could say the same thing about any type of music. All metal music is satanic All country music is about tractors All classic rock is about sex and drugs. All rock and roll is about being rebellious. And especially buttrock See how easy it is? Just because an artist is in a genre like Kanye doesn't mean he has no artistic value.
What’s crazy is that I can remember the smell when I heard this song the first time in a Escalade going to DDs wit my cousins I remember it like yesterday I got my little toy car
I'm a big Coldplay fan and I'm also a fan of Kanye West. This song is a real gem. Graduation is one of my best Kanye's album. Kanye wanted stadium status like Coldplay and he got it. He's phenomenal.
When I listen to this after many years you realize how hard Kanye was repping his city his culture and his country He is a musical god an undeniable icon an I’m realiazin it even more now listen back Respect Kanye
youtube and VEVO in 2009, had a high priority of censoring music videos. It was never up to the artists. It was all part of being on a record label and RU-vid
That's funny honestly this song was stuck in my head for two days I talked to my ex gf a few days ago and I was walking around the house singing the chorus maybe we can start again so I punched in start again on RU-vid and here I am..
Kanye I don't know if you ever ready comments on your content but I hope you read this. You're music along with DMX and Jay Z's kept me going in the worst times of my life. Depressed, suicidal, seeing no future, to now as a very successful professional teacher abroad. Just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I'm grateful for all I have and for all who helped me in my life. Thank you Kanye. Much love my brother. May you forever be blessed.
I hate to be the Stan but the greatest is Eminem. Some of Kanyes work has been brilliant but Eminem has far more consistency. He has far more technical ability and manages to create relatively simple emotive songs. Halies Song, Beautiful and When I'm gone for example.
I was 8 years old when this song was released, but I had never heard it until this year. I'm 20 now. This song somehow feels like a nostalgia for a time I never experienced, but one I unconsciously lived through.
i was literally 3 years old, now 17, from germany, my parents didn't know kanye until i showed them ye like a 3 years ago. But i got the same vibe. my dad showed me much music from this period of time so i guess, many artists were inspired by ye or ye was inspired by them. Thats the only reason i can explain this nostalgia to myself tho
Listened to this yesterday at my graduation. The sound of the kids yelling seniors through the halls as we headed towards the field. The smiles of everyone and the cheering will forever be engraved in my mind. Class of 2022
You are not alone, some people can not split the persona from his music, for me he is a true Genius Álbum after album, the Best music i have heard on a long time
