It’s crazy the part the weekend is singing is the what Kanye originally had as a hook . Look up the original version of hurricane by Kanye west n the weekend wasn’t on it , that’s technically Kanye’s verse
This album hits different when you’re in pain trying to push through. For anybody that didn’t enjoy it I encourage you to give it another chance . These songs are therapeutic. Say what you want about Kanye as a person but when it comes to music, he knows how to collaborate with the right ppl to accurately express these complex emotions. Especially this song and Moon. Jail hits different when you’re pissed off and just trying to keep your composure as well. Great album.
@@BeverlyCollings-yq8ju yeah I was going through a lot when I listened to it so it resonated for sure. There’s a lot of songs and albums like that for me that when I hear them in a better mood I don’t always appreciate them as much or at all. I feel like within his music you can still see glimpses of the old Kanye. Sure he was always a bit egotistical and emotional, but I feel like the things he has been through have taken a toll on him mentally, some of which he put himself through but things like losing his Mom he couldn’t help. From the documentary it seemed like she was the only person who could always get through to him and keep him sort of grounded. She’s the reason he speaks so much about his relationship with God, & the reason he has that unshakable confidence in himself. I didn’t have that kind of relationship with my pops but losing him changed me as a person. I was early in the process of grieving still when I heard this album, and at a job where I didn’t feel fulfilled that was new for me.
@@dimension7828 yup I love that about music. It sounds so much different when you feel what’s being described. There’s a bit of comfort in it, it’s like venting without having to. Someone else has put it into words and let you know you aren’t alone in what you’re feeling. Drakes early albums hit harder for me back then because I was dating a lot & in and out of relationships while also seeing friends come and go.
I wasn’t a fan of YE till i listened to DONDA, and this song just made me realize why people call him genius, this song literally takes away your breath just to give it back to you in a different form, from the melodies to the rap and the production everything just reveals how genius YE is.
The relationship he had with his mother was something I have never seen before especially on the documentary. He never interrupted her, he never spoke over her, he took it all in and his mother would say his name a lot which is an excellent form of communication it releases dopamine and the other feel good chemicals in the brain. This burst of excitement makes people happy and sends unconscious signals such as empathy, trust, and compassion to the unconscious brain. They were so comfortable around each other she knew all of his lyrics. Music can be so deep and it's the ultimate form of expression and he didn't feel judged by Donda and she got to know him on a completely different level which is so rare it would be like letting your parents read your journal or your deep and meaningful conversations on social media. He didn't feel judged by her and she loved them all, Donda is his number one fan! When one of them started to smile the other would contagiously. They would rap together and it was pure sunshine and happiness Hey Mama in the kitchen. I get the feeling his mother was beautiful inside and out. This special and vital relationship was just ripped away he still needed her. He will never get over it. I feel for him so much. Kanye has a gift and he always manages to pass it on to us. I really hope that one day he will get his pure sunshine smile back.
This song literally saved my life! I knew I was about to die. I looked to the doctor and said to her please don’t let me die I have two other kids. They gave me a medicine to sleep and the last thing I can remember is this song “ father please don’t let me drown… I know you won’t “ It made me fight and remember my faith. GOD manifest his presence in different ways and in this case was this song who I listened a lot during my complicated pregnancy.
this is that song that you thought you heard in the club that one night after your eleventyseventh shot but you didn't actually hear this song cause kanye just made it so the song you heard was a different song
This song speaks of the highs and lows of life, of the uncertainties and the hope, of freedom and pain, of finding belief in yourself and the higher power that won’t let you drown. Its so expansively beautiful
Em and Ye are great in longevity of the rap game. Edit : I did not mean to compare their skills or anything like that on who is better I simply stated that their longevity is undeniable and their career are still booming 54m monthly listeners on Spotify for Em and 48m monthly for Ye those numbers are insane considering 20+ years they have been in it. hate Em as much as you like you cannot ignore that. I came in to pay respect while still being relevant to the original comment but instead people are fixated on superiority instead of giving flowers saddens me really.
@@josephrankin3843 kanye lowkey does. Donda is great but jik and ye was good at very least. His first 6 albums were PERFECT but ye quality drops a lil starting ye album. Donda is his greatest album for the past years since kids see ghost
@@yuyuyu12345 nah I’ve been replaying JIK all week. That album is damn good, my opinion changed so heavy on it. Production is so fire, and I’m an atheist and I love it.
Dude I cannot express what this song does to me, it just makes me feel like I finally got everything I worked so damn hard for and I just see my mom smiling proudly and I can't help but cry tears of happiness

james, a bondservant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad: Greetings. My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. James 1:1-8

You are exactly correct. Donda is absolute fire, but it is also ominous. People need to appreciate kanye while he is here. These type of albums are the kinds i heard from tupac and biggie before they died. Those albums to me were dark and very ominous. I hear that through donda.
The thing about Kanye's music is it's more than just the songs, it's the visuals, the experience as a whole. You can clearly see his mindset is that of an *artist* and not simply a musician/rapper/producer.
This song brings me to tears. We played this song when I walked mom to her resting place and I can't everrrr forget that moment and the emotion and this song how it bring out my emotions. Every time I go to visit her I play this on my way to see her I know she looks down and I strive to make her proud. And I know she is finally free.
The most impressive thing about Kanye is how his art and style is always adapting. We haven’t seen a video like this from him and likely won’t again. He’s not afraid to change and that’s why he’s the 🐐

this is that type of song we’ll listen back to in 5-10 years and feel incredibly nostalgic for the time we used to live in. sure, things are bad now, but it’ll never be this good again. cherish every moment.
Kanye is not living for God, he is a 33rd Degree Luciferan Freemason, the weekend, and everybody on Donda is apart of it. He is casting spells with his music, they practice witch craft and they want a One world Government, they want to bring back Babylon. And as good as this song is, it’s made to lead you away from the lord.
Good for mental health! Your Health Informer finds finds the sound good as well! What's more, the video details reveals much too! Being pullet out or grabbed when he was going to fall makes sense ....The question is "Are we pulling others out of life mud?"

This song is so perfect. Listen to the production. It's so perfectly clean, the subtle effects on each vocals setting a stage to the artists. It's so perfect and clean. I love it so much. Each element, the vocals, the sub-bass, the organ chords introducing the raps, the deathly emptiness. Everything is complimenting each other, it's just so perfect. Also I love the way the bass shifts around from low to high, it's really refreshing. boom boom _boom boom_ . Kanye's vocals have some sort of compression on them, it contrasts with everything else. It's genius.
💝🕯️ NEVER GET ENOUGH OF THAT MAN'S VOICE, TALENT AND GIFTS 💯 SHOUT-OUT to ALL those who have supported HIS TALENT, GROWTH AND SHINE!!!! YOU ARE ALL SO BLESSED IN YOUR OWN RIGHT 💖▶️
No matter what you may say Kanye is a Self Made Genius He backs up his talk with the work and value that he provides. No one can take that away from him..
Holy shit. This clip is in a league of it's own. Without sound it would be exactly like those obscure youtube animations that you binge watch at 3 am instead of sleeping
Seeing his documentary really humanized Ye to me. He’s always been such a larger than life celebrity to me growing up. But seeing him at his beginning has been very refreshing. As an artist in the underground, there are a lot of days where I feel like my music is probably never going to take off. But seeing his confidence in himself makes me want to bring the same kind of energy to my own music. Invest in my own creativity. And for that - I’m forever grateful to Kanye’s music. 🔥🙏🏻
God gave His Son so we can live through Him and have everlasting life. God loves you! Believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ and be saved! This is the Gospel of your salvation 1 Corinthians 15: 1-4 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: You can give your life to God right now. Repent for your sins, trust Jesus, and God will give you eternal life. Have faith and say this prayer. "Jesus Lord I know you shed your blood and died for my sins. I know you were buried, and you rose again on the third day. Please forgive me for my sins. I give my life to you Lord. Thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen."
Kanye is just a whole different beast tbh in the producing world ‼️ I also make Hip-Hop music with a blend of old school lyrics, and modern day trap beats!! I was hoping to get some thoughts on this new song to help improve and get better 🙏❤️
@@8j23pPIM Bro why does it matter if I listen to Kanye In 2023? He’s still an artist I like so I might as well listen to his music even if he’s going downhill
was literally listening to this + the og version on repeat since yesterday, didnt expect an official mv today. one of my favorite kanye songs of all time
😢, oh yes, I always have tears when I here this song of Kanye. You could feel the pain deep into his soul 😢...I can vision his mama crying 😢 and saying, Kanye, it's going to be all right. He could predicted that Kim was going to deceived him way before it happened. I pray for strength and peace for him.
I cry because I can’t believe people think this guy is a genius. There has never been an audience for any form of music in history that has lower expectations than hip hop fans. How people like Migos, Cardi B, NBA young boy, Takeshi 69, young this and young that are famous and wealthy is astounding. Ever been to a live hip hop concert?? So incredibly unprofessional 😂😂😂
You’re incredibly miserable, hating on a genre of music and an artist all over this c.s. YOURE BITTER! Go get therapy and leave us alone! Psychological Hobo!
@Slimeball As well as the 2019 vocoder leak, the Sunday service choir leak, nikki blanco version , nino blu version and the cashmere cat version....this song has been through it 😭
