From my view the rinipoche & host both had good points. The rinipoche was on point with "you seem to know a lot" & being aware of Buddha's intent valuable, perhaps hearing him out more would have been helpful or could be the edit. The teachings here in one word, surrender. Not new as most may know & the answer but extremely difficult hence bridges (later to be burned) to hack this barrier. Teachings = hacks. This upload IS a teaching. One of many. There are now many non gurus being gurus which fits instagrat minds and our rebel character, yet another act.. Remember this is a performance coach which at some level biases the frame the output come from. Usually those saying no guru have not experienced the radical .... radical... silent healing & emptying power of the true guru (that is actually you unfettered). This view is usually from not knowing directly or that lack of direct experience or fear. I would guess.... guess...that 1 in a million can bypass not realising the depth of shadows many drown in from years observing & actually assisting those trapped in suffering self. This is not a blanket truth he speaks but also HIS truth viewpoint. Again to sum these teaching up in one truthful pointer. Surrender. Now. Can you ongoing... or do you need to hear this 1000 times, are you eagerly awaiting the next upload of info to digest?.....case in point. I would have not found what he discusses without a teacher deep in being-ness (& a mystic working in layers below any thoughts, the pain body) period sharing an unfamiliar space until it became normalised as the survival mechanism we label ego or I is complexed, very yet simple also...Surrender... if you can! Under pressure, try it next time. Did my "teacher" wake "me" up.... could he....no... but he held me stable at the gate less gate by removing obstacles I could not see & the I gave way & the falling through falsness via the dropping of fear (ego) **his presence allowed.** Do not underestimate this force, this is the biggest mistake I am seeing in the no guru scramble of info age warriors. Pick wisely of course! Fakes outnumber them 10000 to 1 minimum! Yet.... There is no guru ultimately. This is only true THAT. This does not make these words spoken in this clubhouse overall untrue but they will work for extremely few folks is my point. This is for few and they needs to be seen and the speaker does indicate this. Follow your deepest heart and if that is a *proven* teacher...go but watch carefully, trust is earned and a true teacher will tell you this. They do more want worship either as that's repulsive to them. They would prefer to be left alone. They are out there and they can help, one showed me the door to freedom I would never ever have found in this life.
@@programming_and_snacks5192 no way want to defend him. But buddha also gave lectures and encouraged people to find the truth themselves. I don't see how selling a course is contradictory if purpose of it is to help you discover your truth. Otherwise all teachings are waste aren't they
Prescriptions are not bad, it's just that our superego, the acquired mind through society, is dominant. Most of what we have learned is through others, so our focal point is just that. In order to find yourself, you need to understand your Id, your innate desires. It's a waste of time to live up to society's expectations if they are not yours. You are an unique individual, which subjective experience shape the world, not the other way around. To find yourself then, is the most important job, because we need to unlearn the superego. You need to search what your truth is, and stand by it no matter what. Your truth means, trusting what you are feeling. If you feel bad because you did or did not do something, YOU feel bad, not because society says so, but because your inner experience tells you. That is the voice you need to listen to. This is who you are. Awareness just means that all your senses are activated, it's the opposite of sleep. It's using all your power to open up your senses. In this state, the mind is literally and scientifically in the highest state of vibration (gamma waves). It is the state of no mind, mushin, no mental chatter. It's samadhi, union of the senses, no division in experience, no divided mind, just union.

The only feasible way to live happy and content without financial security is if you live in a cave. Then surely, the South African lady (26minish) respond is similar in that the only way to participate in society, is to present yourself in the realm of that society's social construct in a digestible and palatable manner i.e. Choice an identity. I don't know if I am just too thick to comprehend philosophical concepts or these complex dichotomies. However, I find these sort of escotircal talks/discussion very abstract and applicable if you live in a vacuum. By merely not drinking alcohol which castrate your so many social functioning and in some cases hinder your professional progress. It is fair and well to suggest that you don't have to drink and shouldn't succumb to social pressure. As much as its hard to go against the social grain, I think that's valid point and feasible to have a social life without consuming alcohol. But to suggest that everything is a concept... Lost my thought train now and just don't have the energy to convey my bewilderment. I am a rational optimist and end of story.
Am always fascinated and inspired by KG's thoughts and views about life. But this Q&A was definitely off. It feels like he didn't want to do this and was at least 70% irritated by some of the questions.
If he does, you'll try to follow it. Or your mind will hold onto it, which will keep you away from actually exploring the interiority of your subjective emotions. His restriction with words and using abstract concepts like truth, has a motive and it is intentional, when you see your life transform automatically after seeing some truths, that's when you understand why he speaks the way he does.
@@sibaroochi another proof he is not trying to convince anyone of his 'sainthood'.. He is quite rude, like a strict teacher, who doesn't give in to the wishes of his students to get their approval, and the only true way to guide.

Not saying he doesn’t have use in doing the talks, but in all practicality if he’s not taking anything of yours or convincing you of anything…
