very nice but highly personal elaboration of the kapsberger Colascione. just a pity that that at such fast tempo some of the original sections were skipped

Personal indeed, trying to make music, not recycling ink on paper. But to your comment - can you be more specific? I am not sure which sections you mean. The version I played in this concert includes the complete piece from Kapsberger's book and in addition it is expanded by a version from Modena manuscript. So in fact it is longer than the original. Regarding tempo, there is a clear ostinato structure running in the background; to every person familiar with the style of that period (after playing in tons of operas, masses, madrigals as well as purely instrumental music) it naturally gives a clear sense of tempo. ​@luciano Bernardi all fine, I am just trying to understand what you refer to. Section 7 from what? Do you mean the facsimile 3rd line RH arpegios of 16th notes? That actually is on the video at 4:10, but on the recording mainly the main bass melody is heard (as intended). In fact what I tried to do is not an arrangement, but only using the ostinato bass throughout and give it some meaning as a variation form / written out improvisation. All is clear and easy until the section 10 (if I understand your terminology right) comes. There I think other music is intended and it is only squeezed into the identical bars as the previous section. I asked the bass player to go faster there in proportion - and it worked out nicely that way...
