I hope this sport takes off. I love the aesthetic, the flashy kicks, How the audience is right there standing eye to eye with the fighters, I love the ring set upI think I’ve fallen in love with this sport at first sight.
Its crazy how some people talk bad about it. but there are a lot of UFC or MMA fighters who use Karate, along with their other martial arts, and combat techniques from various other disciplines. In fact Georges St-Pierre. Lyoto Machida. Stephen Thompson. Chuck Liddell. Bas Rutten. Robert Whittaker. Nick Diaz. Katsunori Kikuno Conor McGregor They all use Karate.
@@TheMixedPlateFrequency Don't forget the TKD guys too : Anderson Silva Anthony Pettis Benson Henderson Yair Rodriguez Edson Barboza Sage Northcutt Valentina Shevchenko Rose Namajunas, etc. TKD receives similar flak as Karate does, so we should categorize them together in situations like this.
Karate is stiff, sure we see a lot of angling in this fight, and it flows rather well on the feet, but there's no head movement, and the center of the torso is front and center, with a wide stand that restricts fluidity. Plus Papa Smurf missed a lot of his jabs and hooks by a few inches, terrible distance management, because of the stiffiness of his fighting stance in general.
Im not a karateka but I do take bit and bobs that i like from the style, one thing that I've always thought that's held it back from being one of the most effective combat sports is they lack of full contact competition. Hopefully that Karate Combat can get big and we see a resurgence in effectiveness of the style
@@MarcosRodrigues-jj7fy Ele só ganhou o primeiro round pois teve mais contundencia, os outros dois rounds o leproso da calça branca deu claramente muito mais golpes atingidos.
@@Ale_Lab I feel like to everyone else it was super obvious I didn't even notice I thought it was like a really high quality screen all around or something lmao
@@user-jk4mi4ns3n we only have to look for someone from the pubblic with a green tshirt that is display the same landscape lol. Probably they pay a lot of attention to that.
Muito lindo de ver a diciplina do Teek Silva, ouviu o mestre e fluio na luta, achei que ele ganho a luta acerto mais golpes contundentes principalmente na linha de cintura e otimas esquivas
yo wtf is this!!!!! i find this randomly and its the best thing to hit youtube... WE ARE IN THE FUTURE LADIES AND GENTS!! GRAB YOUR POPCORN!! feels like im watching tekken or mortal kombat in real life!
Any martial art with kicks and punches becomes kick boxing as soon as you put gloves on them... takes away the full usefulness of proper blocks. The rules that Ban all the nasty stuff taught in karate ads to this also.
A lot of people .I come out with hardly anyone.but the fans knew where to be to chant on.good stamina on both.fighters are well stood I liked.hope to see you all.soon.
The setup looks dope, I love the modern style! But the audience right next to the ring, and ring color/lighting makes it look a little bit unprofessional. Still looks way better than most rings
This is MUCH BETTER than Olympic Karate! I really hate the point system kumite from Shotokan... being used "fighting" in point system will get your ass kicked for sure if you fight against any martial art that is used to absorbing punishments.
