Wym? They can't keep fighting once they get knocked out so the referee doesn't want the fighters kicking one another while they're down

Yes. To prevent any major damage to the fighters health. Im not sure if youre aware but getting knocked out is not the most healthy thing for your brain.

I Love Combat sports,however the rule of continuing to punch and kick your apponent When there clearly down becomes more than just beating your opponent it then becomes attempting to murder your opponent. If this rule could change fighters would have longer careers it would be seen by millions more on mainstream television as football or boxing also more endorsements fighters should be paid more in Martial Arts.

I think the problem about the fighters they don't know when to stop especially when the opponent is already knocked out they still want to continue I mean I don't understand it shows to much anger and no self control I think they would rather kill one another so if one of them dies I guess they are happy and proud it's just way too much violence for me once you knocked him out that's it don't continue anymore it needs to stop or the other opponent I saw when referee trying to stop them and he just came out of no where and knocked him out especially he is not on his ready position it's bad

1. Punctuation. 2. Thats why there is a referee, to protect the fighters. 3. Ever heard of this little thing called adrenaline? 4. Also the ground and pound is allowed in the rules since the original idea behind karate is self defense. It makes sense to give a few more hits to make sure your “attacker” will leave you alone.

It's more so about finishing your opponent so you get the unanimous win. Many times fighters have been more compassionate in the ring and their opponent gets back up and knocks them out or wins by decision. As long as the fight is live and no disqualifing moves are used its fair game

There's a saying, the fight never ends until it is stopped. It's the fighter's choice to not attack if the opponent is clearly down, but sometimes fighters who do that tend to make their opponent recover and stand up instead of bashing them while they're down to secure the win. I've seen fighters lose a winning fight because of this.

Everyone's a student, always. The moment someone starts thinking they're "the master", they turn into those ridiculous chinese fat men who know nothing about fighting but claim to be sifus of the highest order. Until some MMA amateur whips the floor with them, which is what has been happening a lot lately.
