I thought the first lady looked a little heavy looking for Unsu, and the jump kind of sorted backed me up on that. Normally she does a world class Gojushiho sho, so I wonder why she went with Unsu?

The execution of the forms is good. But IMO their kiai needs more work. At best these emanate from the thoracic cavity. If not the throat. But should originate from the hara. In the last few years I have seen excellent kime and kata many times. But not one time have I heard properly executed Kiai. Such a shame to watch kara te do slowly degrade this way. I hope other students will ask their teachers for deeper guidance on this technique. Peace.
