I failed my yellow belt test when I was 9 or 10. Not sure if it was a lack of preparation, nerves, not taking it seriously or just plain stupidity .Anyway I was so embarrassed and humiliated that I never went back to that school. In later years I was always pretty good in practice combat and exercises but would get stage fright for those fucking belt tests.
it was probably just your nerves. When I used to do Brazilian jiu-jitsu I love the way my instructor tested us. He never told us when we were going to be tested so he got the absolute best out of us he saw us in our natural ability I guess you could say.
I am on my first advanced belt which is Tan. I am over half way there to Blackbelt. I will be testing for my first Blackbelt, October when I am 14 years old. I am a few months away from turning 13😀
I have my karate test in an hour and I’m kinda stressed because allot of people are going to be watching us and I really hope that i will pass and get my yellow belt well fingers crossed 🤞
Pretty sure your "blackbelt" is more of a participation reward or a kids blackbelt than an actual blackbelt. Unless you're like a prodigy and train everyday, since you were born. You can't have a black belt at 11
Shanjida Konika In a good school, it should take around 3 or more years. But some systems are different from others, to be a black belt the standard should be great and well performed techniques, discipline, and focus.
In a karate exam, it will include 3 things, kata (Heiyan Shodan), kumite (Sparring) and Kihon (Basics), all three are needed if you want to procede to the next belt :)
I invented a kicking tecnique for My self so I can kick Anyone in The head really really fast. My friend had almost a blue belt on taekwondo. He wanted to fight me just to see If i have skills. lol this dude"was almost blue belt in taekwondo and got taught by a Black belt. Still he didn't stand a chance against me
I don't know why is the instructor not in a do-gi and why she is yelling she acts like she is mad lol. I'm pretty sure that's a mcdojo counting in english not in Japanese having "KARATE" printed on the back of the karate-gi. And they are doing Kihon like they are skeletons, and they are not using they hip. At the heian shodan what is that counting "punch". My 4th dan sensei never said this. So i'm really confused at this video.
