Cheers for the excellent video Dave, you made very valid points. It's a complete no-brainer isn't it to go for a professional washer if you're using one on a business level - especially when you said how much your refurbished one cost. For home use that Karcher K series is fine, but one might as well purchase a similar power non branded one for less than half the cost.

great video Dave, my K4 has done well, but changed the short thin hose (always poor on Karcher) for 15m heavy duty one from eBay specialist. Also have a QR stubby gun with extension lance, rather than the Karcher gun, works well for me. Detail Guardz are great, got those a few years back, a must have. O-rings i find wear faster than fuses, especially when swapping between Karcher gun when you want to use the patio/path cleaner/blaster (not for car cleaning).

Hi mate, very informative video. I have a k4 and k7, the k7 is a brute of a machine. I'm only a few cars a month on the driveway and have thought about the commercial ones but haven't taken the plunge. The refurb ones do have a good write up too, stay safe mate 🌈🌈🌈

Didn't know they actually sold those hose tire guards! I made some myself years ago out of some garage sale rollerblades. I do a lot of big fancy trucks with massive 40" tires, so I wanted them big and heavy. Thanks for the video! 👍👌✌

Yeh it's fine for your own cars but definitely not recommended for commercial use. Was still good enough to do a good job though

Hi There. I have Karcher K5 and MJJC 2.0. when I install the orifice 1.1 the pressure washer start and stops continually when I spray. but when I use the orifice 1.25 the pressure washer works fine. do you have an idea how to solve this?

Got a 2nd hand k4 full control with the extra 10m high pressure hose as well as the short trigger for £160. Seems to do the job well enough and to be fair tackling stubborn grime hasn't been that hard for me as I use tfr and snowfoam most of the time. Only doing about 6 cars a month outside of work so not really getting a massive amount of action but when I commit to doing it full time on my own then I will look at the professional ones. Good review.

Love the Karcher brand, but it is expensive. I’m a little concerned about the pressure of the pro unit you showed damaging the paint. You may wish to reference Matt at Obsessed Garage and his 75 pressure washer revue. Basically he concluded flow rather is more important the ultimate pressure and anything over 2000psi is over kill. Keep the great work coming.

Yeh if you hold it too close it can strip lacquer off. Some are insanely powerful. Great for patios though

I've had great luck with *factory* refurbished stuff. It's actually a safe buy because it's rigorously gone through and inspected before it's sold again, usually with a decent warranty. Have several very loved and reliable tools that were like new factory refurbished! 👍👌✌

Thank you for your review! Since you're more familiar with karchers, maybe you could help me out. I need high pressure washer to clean my scaffolding after each job, i need it to remove concrete or other stuff from steel pipes but I'd also use it for home purposes - car washing, concrete tiles and etc. I m looking at Karcher K7 and Karcher HDS 5/15 with diesel motor to warm the water. Price difference is huge, but specs doesnt seem to be that different K7 - 600 l/h and max. 180 bar Hds - 450 l/h and max.150 bar I m sure theres more to it, so looking for any kind of input, thank you!

Hi Dave how do you find the expert ?I've just purchased a hd6/13c and I thinks it's around 190 bar compared to the 160 on the expert so you blow fuses ? First use today and into the mains is fine once I hook up to an extension it blew a fuse then I replaced and it got hot do you have problems with running from extensions ? Seems silly having a powerful jet wash and not be able to use extension cables any ideas

Hello mate I had previous 6/13 in yellow. Mine always blew fuses so firstly u need a thick extension lead. Not standard one. And longest extension 10m at max. Some can have capacitor issues which are easy fix. So run water through outside tap first let it run through whilst trigger down turn in and that should fix it 👌

Yeh honestly you can make do with 8m but because the machine is quite light you may find When you pull it, it knocks it over. That little bit of extra length is a godsend

The k7 is all round better in every way in terms of domestic use. As I get longer hose, more power, brass fittings so it can last longer. For domestic use it's the very best for its price

@@epicautomotivedetailing For £200 + 40 on a short trigger, I'm really pleased with it. Pushes 2100psi so powerful enough for grimy vehicles, 9M sturdy hose on a reel so makes it a breeze for storage.

Hi mate recently got into car detailing and wanted to do it for myself, we don’t have an outdoor tap at the minute though, so I was using a karcher suction hose so I could use water from a bucket? I was trying to get it to work on the karcher k2 which i already have but it’s not fitting, would a karcher k4 be any better before I go and fork out £150 for one? The k5 is kind of out of my price range. Thanks in advance, love the vids by the way! ✌️

Keep your eyes peeled for black Friday deals as they are better this year an any other year I have noticed. As a weekend warrior cleaner it's fine. If it was in constant use every day all week, all month then I'd say go pro instead. I have used k7. If you can get a 10m hose you Will thank me later down the line lol

I received my pressure washer ru-vid.comUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP over the weekend and decided to wait for the sun to come out before firing it up. Was needed to clean the deck. Our last pressure washer broke a couple of seasons ago, and I just hadn't replaced it yet. This one had great comments, so here we are. It was easy to assemble, and the trigger wand is comfortable and easy to hold for long periods of time. The pressure washer worked great and made quick work of the "TN North side algae" that inevitably grows every year. I also washed all of the deck furniture while I was at it... it all looks great! So far I am happy with this purchase. I plan to climb the ladder to wash siding over the next couple of days, will update if I have anything else to add after that!

Yes there is. It's £80 you do need to spend but it's worth it. I'm getting an alternative one next week custom made for cheaper so will film it for a video on the machine and go through costs etc

@@joshuamiller4453 karcher were very clever and out easy lock fittings meaning if you owned a commercial pressure washer you had to buy their own easy lock, which is fair enough. However I got an adaptor coming meaning I can connect any hose to my machine and therefore any snow foam lance to my machine. So soon as it's here I'll be testing it out plus i got a company sending a few various snow cannons so I may do a giveaway too when they arrive

I don't understand why the commercial pressure washer is more powerful than the domestic (it clearly is from your video!), the K5 pressure is 145 BAR and flow rate up to 500L, wheras the Xpert is less than this.... what makes it so much more powerful!?

Interest comparison. On paper the pressure and flow rating of the K5 is better, but the 7125 more convincing in practice.

Yes k7 is better as I have used it many times but for me I'd still have a commercial xpert refurbished than a new k7 for business.

If your gonna pay 350 for a Karcher expert. Why not look at a kranzle?

Karcher did me a great deal and I got few extras and with PayPal credit i got interest free for 3 months so was 115 per month so jumped on it lol

to be honest unless you hold it close for a while your do no harm. Just keep lance back if you feel too much pressure on surface

all karchers suck water they are good on warranty work on the domestic side not on the commercial side but after so many problems i had with them and the money i spent it ended up cheaper buying a honda havent looked back since as for the 10 metre pipe its ploy for you to by one being there so cheap

Wouldn't say all karchers suck. I've got brilliant machine. Had the hd 6/13 in yellow too for 10+ years Never let me down

honda with interpump sucks water good about 650 quid with a 20 metre hose from direct hose and daul pumps . uk

Bad quality. Mine stopped working after few years. With little use. I have cared for it all the right ways. Very expensive.

Yep this one was the older model. Prices go up with inflation and when the newer model was released it had a higher price tag
