@StopTheCappin' Architect here, with an emphasis in structural engineering, and it's even worse in my profession for men in her specific age range. I was thinking an engineer making $350k at age 32 would have to have a couple of working patents and have gotten in at the beginning with an equity share of a startup and stocks generating dividends, or something like that. It's not hard to make a decent living with one of these degrees, but what's HARD to do is make $350k as a young or youngish man. You have to be good and lucky, typically, and have the health that lets you put in 100 hour weeks as necessary. That these women haven't even looked up average salaries and especially salaries in the 2nd quartile, given what they say they want, just seems odd to me----particularly this young women who should have the research skills to find that information in minutes. I sell cars and only once or twice since I've done in this year have I've seen a 300k. And that was a salesperson like me. Everyone else is making 100k as business owners. And you're right. Most of those that had that income were over 45 that came into my dealership.
Yeah consulting, investment banking, Dr, lawyers etc. And that's consistently earning 300k or more. Most people also only earn that kind of paper for a few years
