-5? What? Thank you so much for pointing that out. To me, she has the best ladies SP at the US Nationals. So good to see so much fierceness & fight from her. The power and speed she has going into all her elements. -5 judging for that is unacceptable.
-5 ? Too bad you can't tell their name so we can call them out on it. Karen is my favorite among the ladies, I can maybe see a 3 or 4 but definitely not a -5. Thanks for sharing!
Oh yeah, she barely travels a bit and is a little unclean, so -5. But Medvedeva travels 4 feet on a spin combo and the judges score her only pluses. (Nothing against Medvedeva, love her skating, sad she's under Tutberidze again)
this judge obviously needs more training, as a lot of the marks are representative of changes of positions not how pretty they are! she covered all her bases excellent job Karen
the spin travelled but she held on to it later. its not -5. this is what you get for not being russian. medvedeva scored + goe for travelling spins and prerotated and underrotated, wrong edge jumps that were an abomination on the eyes.
I mean she traveled on the spin quite a bit IF the skaters are even marked on that part of it but that shouldn't equal -5 max should have been just base value with no +/- or maybe MAYBE-1 BUT -5??? WAS IT TO SHORT??? NOT ENOUGH ROTATIONS??? WHY -5 JUDGE WHY?!?!
I don't know of much about skating. Just watched the Olympics bc of yuna kim. I have to say, there is such a noticeable difference in yuna kim vs the American skaters rn. Chen is an accomplished skater, no doubt, but I don't think I will see her on the Olympic podium bc she just doesn't have the fine tuning and she seems very heavy and choppy throughout her routine. I wish US women's figure skating steps it up for the Olympics
