Lovely set, a bit like a prog rock band settles into a long patch of ambient groove and stops bloody soloing with their classically trained over-brilliance. Just the aesthetic.
Junky? the JP-8000 is a perfectly usable synth if maybe a bit boring and I can't name one good synth pop band that hasn't used a micro korg as part of thier live set up, it's a staple.
Hmmm, what I love about stupidly naïve comments like yours, is they tend to come from people with no credible music talent. Faithless seemed to find it okay to use a JP-8000 live on stage in front of thousands of people. I think Karen uses it well too. If you couldn't see what synths she was using you would have no clue it was a Korg or JP-8000.
