Breast Cancer is the most common cancer in women in the UK. While training to be a fire fighter, Karen, discovered a lump in her breast and was later diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. After going into remission and returning to work, she was given the devastating news that the cancer had spread to her brain and lungs. Sadly, Karen passed away on the 19th February 2019. She was 41 years old.

Oh, Adam, of course seeing this you tube video of your Mum, would absolutely be a shock to your system. Your Mum was an extremely brave and courageous woman. She has touched my heart ever so deeply. I am truly so sorry that your Mum passed away. I hope it brings you a sense of comfort, in knowing your Mum will remain in your heart, always and forever. She is SO proud of you. Your Mum will always be your biggest fan. I hope you are taking care of yourself, and that you are surrounded with a wonderful support system. My heartfelt condolences to you and your family. My amazing mum has secondary breast cancer after two previous breast cancers, triple neg and triple pos. She’s made it a year with multiple tumours in her brain, lungs and chest cavity…. She’s 56…. We know time is limited now but she continues to fight on ….. I fucking hate cancer 😢

I lost my mother (double negative breast cancer)and an aunt to breast cancer.another aunt and my sister,a cousin are survivors.We didn't do DNA test yet,(here in Japan,Familial breast cancer gene exam became available with health insurance only last year)We and doctors think this is from gene mutations.Now I can get breast and ovary cancer screening with health insurance because of family history.I hope people who have possibility can get screening.
