Well im a big fan of got, but that scene was unrealistic, jon juked like 2000 arrows, none hit him, they just stood there and waited the boltons to surround them, and suddenly little finger appeared out of nowhere, a complete army just doesnt show up that fast.......

Apparently the north doesn't remember jack shit in the show.. like Robb Stark getting stabbed by Roose Bolton.. except for Bear Island. Like a guy on reddit said: "It seems the North does not remember, it has severe amnesia and needs immediate medical attention." I bet they even forgot they were shooting arrows after arrows into their own men right after they let them loose. Seriously, almost every norhtern house flocking to the boltons, not giving a shit about him SHOOTING Rickon Stark - a teenage boy and as far as they know last male Stark - in front of their battle lines, not even saying anything about slaughtering their own soldiers even though they have the numbers advantage and could easily smash the cavalry charge with their shield+spearwall. Just because Ramsay is a sadistic fuck.. but apparently the north didn't remember that either. Yeah.. severe alzheimer. I'm saying this because the picture in the video is from the show. I know the plot is a lot different in the books.

Except they didn't, or this battle wouldn't have happened. Seriously, this whole battle, though pretty, was a screenplay nightmare, made only to look nice and "epic" when it reality it was just a forced mess. Shooting arrows into your own men? Sansa not telling John about her backup? John suddenly becoming a huge fucking idiot? Like, I understand he wants to die, but I thought he respected his men more than that. Instead he brought them the death he was supposedly trying to save them from. Just a huge mess, though Sansa was by far the worst. The only thing that can save that is that maybe she was actually trying to get John and his friends killed so she can take the throne for herself. Who knows.

@AuthorityCat Couple points. Ramsay doesn't give a shit about his men, much less those from others houses, so of course he would order his archers to fire on them, which made the wall of bodies the rest of his soldiers could use to surround Jon's army easily. Sansa is a bit of a mystery, maybe she didn't know backup was coming herself, maybe Little Finger wanted to wait for an opportune moment to strike (basically they counted on Jon getting baited), need a few more details before this can really be criticized. Jon rushing to save his brother is hardly out of character for him. Starks are all about family coming first, Jon tried to save what little is left of it, once he was out there in the open, all he could really do was continue charging or else Ramsay's archers would get him he tried to run back. Once that happened, the only other option for his army was to charge with him, else Ramsay's men would just run them down as well. Also doubt he wants to die, if he did he wouldn't have tried so hard to climb his way out of the pile of people trampling him.

Ymir Ramsay's men give a shit about their lives though. What kind of loyalty do they have to not have surrender the moment he pulled that shit? And yeah, maybe Littlefinger was the one behind all that, but the show was making it seem like Sansa knew she had backup, and just wasn't telling Jon for some reason. And yeah, that was the whole point of the "crawling out of the pile" scene. He thinks he wants to die, because he should be dead, but that was kind of a defining moment where he realized he was still alive. I understand he wanted to save his brother, but it made his character look really really stupid. Similar to what they did with Stannis the "greatest tactical mind to ever live" who sacrifices his family and army for the word of some priestess. Very rational of him. I dunno, the last two season have just been ruining characters for me. I just can't imagine a Jon who's executed his old friends for treason, rushing out to help his brother when he has an army depending on him.

all of the boltons could be dead and likewise house stark and the entire wall of the north......and bastion would still get play of the game
