Hello All, welcome to Appalamma's Kitchen. Today I'm sharing the recipe of Karivepaku Karam which is very authentic to Andhra Pradesh. This is prepared using fresh curry leaves and this can be had as a side dish for rice and many breakfast items.
This is a sour and spicy chutney. If you prepare it in the manner I'm showing, it can be stored for a month in fridge.
Ingredients:
1. Two hands full of curry leaves washed and pat dried.
2. Required salt
3. Juice of two medium sized lemons.
4. One tea spoon oil to saute curry leaves
5. For tempering:
• Half tea spoon mustard
• One tea spoon urad dal (black gram)
• 12-15 methi seeds
• Two tea spoons oil
• 2 big pinches hing
• 15 dry red chillies (spicy variety)
• Quarter tea spoon turmeric
