it's because as Karl said dream is rp-ing as himself --> dream is the same dream in 1887 or wtv i cant remember the exact year as he is in the present day, so since dream doesn't have an accent in the present his character in tales of the smp doesn't either. i think that's also why in episode one his skin didn't change even tho everyone else's did and he didn't have an accent but he was just pretending to have a different name. my lore thoughts lol

this takes place way before! that’s why it’s called tales of the smp :~} like the last episode took place hundreds of years before the dream smp as we know it today, but it was still the dream smp then
