Can remember his dad back in the day. There was Bill, Terry Phillips, Walter O'Malley and Bill Richardson all about at that time this must have been 40odd years ago they were our hero's back then. Great podcast Bill really enjoyed it
Good interview. A couple of me mates from school hammered Carl's gym for a while and they both made boss progress. Couldn't believe me eyes at the time gettin changed after games of footy, it was almost comical how they went from normal/skinny little lads to basically six packs, bulges and really good definition. Without juice as well, just eatin and lifting correctly. This was late 90s/early 2000s. They had some funny stories from there too. Any business goin that long is doin somethin right, especially if it's a gym.
I trained in the gym When Bill Tierney and Wanda owned it, lovely people Karls dad and mum, Karl is a nice man aswell, Mark Scott is a great man its a shame they went there own ways, I'm 47 so a few years younger, Karl knows Ste Kelly who was always telling you stories, great podcast Bill enjoyed that one 👍
Nice 1 Billy, Karl was a good guest on the poddie he defo knows his onions 😉👍 how are the cubic's treating you? I Got back from Turkey late last night, treated my girl to a new smile😬🤣👍❤️
@@theallornothingpodcastwith4442 remember that toothpaste advert moon's ago, when the bird smiled a big flash of light shone off of her teeth! That's what it's like now in our house😬🤣👍
Difference between doormen late 90's early 2000's is massive. You need a badge now and then you had to know gangsters. I never had a problem with them apart from one time when I buzzed off 4 of them in Concert square. Liverpool had great history and we had the best night clubs in the country. Now people travel to Barcelona for example to go to a good club
I'm from Ireland but went to Uni in Liverpool back in 2007. Liverpool was brilliant back then. Definitely the best memories of my life over there. Mood nightclub was one of my faves, then onto Funkybox for the late club
Sorry to hear about your mate. When covid hit I lost my job, mrs got pregnant and a few other things all at once, Life savings away trying to keep myself going that I was going to use to start my own business… So many peoples life’s ruined the past few years
I remember back in the late eighties going to a gym on marsh lane ran by a legend called Vic burdett. On the wall was a picture of Bill Tierney. Great physique and conditioning
Mike Theo was one of the biggest men I ever saw. He bought a gym in Widnes off The Pitt Brothers. Lenny McLean also used to come up and visit him while he was there. Again. Cool story bro!
Good interview. Went to school with a kid called Carl [C, not K] Tierney in Litherland in the 70s/80s. Nice lad from what I remember. Addisons was great when it first opened [around '86?]. Anyone [esp over 40] thinking about pharmaceutical supplements: Spend a few $ on a cardiologist visit before making any decisions.
@@theallornothingpodcastwith4442 Definitely not the same chap Billy - I just remembered the parents of the lad I mentioned had a coach hire company 'Tierney Bros.' Anyway: Thanks for another great upload. Karl mentioned Gerrard Starkey. I'm sure he and others from that era would make great guests 👍
I did them early Sunday morning starts in the Heritage Market with Karl, Kurt etc for Jimmy McVitie after working in town on a Saturday night. Some characters there and not a hi viz jacket in sight. Good knows how we did it. I’m out of the game by 11pm now 😂😂
Im 48/skinny after yrs of abuse.. tryin to put weight on too but tho I'd love to be shown how to just start off in a gym... as i know nothing about working out, could so do with a bit of time & advice from either of you guys/TBH feel a bit embarrassed to just walk into a gym😕 but still picked up plenty of pointers watching this 💯
Get in there we all start at different levels, you'll find most people helpful and respect that you are just in there and putting in the effort you'll be flying in no time 💪✌️and always remember no one really cares that much about you haha I mean this in a nice way , I'm guilty of over thinking it in reality no one cares that much about you so just do it 👍
Is his brother still alive their mark. He was well known around marsh lane in bootle as a mad whizz head who had lost the plot. He was a decent kid but totally lost
Good one Billy and Karl, I’ve known Karl for years and trained in “Bills” back in the day. Karl’s a real gentleman and nice fella Best quote ever that… “ if you’re a tit, steds make you a bigger tit”😂😂 know someone like that hey Karl 🥴😉
yes billy i was asking that at time why werent it wipping out the homeless? only effected the domesticated types😂😂😂😂 bad grasses out there , shame it never really wiped much of population out🤣🤣🤣
