I really want companies with that type of philosophy to succeed, the karma was so beautiful and unique, Americans love mustang and Camaro because they don't try to look like a Honda passport, if we have more beautiful designs maybe the industry can get out of the bland crossover rut it's been stuck in for years
it just karma with differnt body... problem is low power.. low battary size.. low range.. overpice.... bad ui and terrible update... in the world that you can get Gm car for cheaper... why? rich people are not foolish.. and in today world unique dont' worth the money..
This is actually a decent car, pretty underrated considering it does basically everything better than its predecessor, the Fisker Karma. Back in 2018 the original Karma Revero used the Fisker Karma as a platform, but this one is a new design. Looking at some of those concept cars they have on the showroom floor, they probably have some big plans for the future.
Johnny Lieberman, wow. Great to see you around sir. Maybe I haven't seen you since I don't watch a lot of MT Channel on RU-vid anymore. I do hope they keep bringing content like this out though. Thank you for all your work. (:
Lol I don’t know how they are falling into the same trap as FISKER. Their mission statement is all about design, which is great but it didn’t work for fisker, and they went bankrupt. If they don’t also focus on the practicality of the car I don’t see this vehicle doing much better in terms of sale :(
No it isn't, the fisker karma is a terrible platform from ground up and because of that, the karma revero is bad at everything, but now the karma revero gt is improving so much from it's predecessor. The revero gt now don't use the fisker karma platform so it's closer to maserati granturismo instead of the fisker karma. Which allows for roomier interior and luggage space they always struggled. They now use bmw 3 cyl instead of the outdated GM 4cyl (which has the same power). And now the motor has more punch than before
@@marcoimanuel5489 It does use the Fisker Karma Platform the glass and everything else is the same. Its a scam... Bob Kruse admitted that only the body panels have changed but same platform.
I guess they aren't going to talk about how they layed off most of the company last year.... Most off the people that designed these cars are no longer there
Design driven but you just revamped the Fisker Karma??? I mean even used the old model name as your manufacturer name? I’m soooo confused. This is just gonna be a repeat. Give it 3 years and you’ll be able to buy one of these cars at a 90% depreciated cost
If this sedan is big enough for Jonny Lieberman, then I should put this on my "maybe" pile. It is certainly roomy enough for my elderly aunt and sporty enough for me.
Why their all cars looks like mixer of some other existing cars..For example karma sc2 looks like a mix of mercedes concept car from the front and Aston Martin zagato shooting brake from side
The fisker karma/karma revero is one of the best looking cars of all time. They totally botched the look on the new model imo. That black front non-grille with the chrome trim is such an obvious tesla grab. The proportions are still stunning, but so much of the cool detail of the design is lost in favor of the monolithic tesla design language. :(
Not exactly. For a recap: Fisker Automotive was started by the veteran car designer Henrik Fisker, who was accused by Tesla of allegedly stealing their secrets to build his own company. Many poor choices later, his company went into bankruptcy, and both Fisker Automotive and their battery supplier were bought by a Chinese car manufacturer. Fisker is now renamed as Karma, after the first Fisker model. Meanwhile, the designer went off to start another EV car company, also named Fisker.
Oh look a stylish nanny car....why own a car if you don't want to really drive it? I enjoy driving. I enjoy the thrill of driving. I enjoy the feel of driving. I don't want a pod that does any part of the driving for me. The automotive industry is going the opposite direction I want to with these things.
Wanxiang Automotive would have been better off starting a car company from scratch, than wasting the billions they have on this antiquated rehash of Fisker IP. Karma has such a dearth of creativity, that they couldn't even come up with an original name when they renamed the company.
I dont want my car company monitoring everything about my car. That big brother 1984 stuff just isnt for me. Based on that alone I would never buy a car like this.
This is how a Maserati Quattroporte should look like, instead of the pachidermic thing they managed to pull out... It's been since the '80s model that the Quattroporte is appalling. They dropped from making one of the most desirable sedans in the world, to below average heavy-lined embarassing 4-wheeled things. Maserati! Wake up! Hire Fisker to do your styling!
@@techtoth1 they are literally using downgraded ferrari engines instead of the whole package. Some of those changes are 60° bank v engine instead of 90°, and not using the variable length intake and the double spark which ferrari uses. This either because maserati is too broke to use the complete package of the ferrari engine, or ferrari is simply a bad partner. Right now they're doing the right thing. They refurbished their lineup (even though they still use the 60° bank downgraded ferrari engine) and they made a halo car called the mc20. Which has their newest made v6 twin turbo that makes 651 hp with the dual combustion chambers
@@marcoimanuel5489 Yeah; probably it was a marketing choice, because Maserati has always been a more GT constructor, rather than an extreme supercar one. That way you get a more comfortable ride. This doesn't mean that the styling can't be gorgeous, though. Let's see how sales go for the new path taken... Although I keep wishing for a new, stunning, Kamshin-like, Grand Tourer, and a Quattroporte looking like the Karma.
Meh. The original Karma looked better to me. I don’t like the way they updated the current Karma. Also don’t like that they’re playing it safe with their “future” design as it borrows heavily from the past. And what’s the point of adding a gas engine making it more complex, more expensive, with more maintenance.. and slower than less expensive full electrics. Sorry Karma, but you’re not moving in the right direction and will likely fail if you think that design is going to save the brand. Style without substance will only get lookers but not buyers.
2 different companies who were together at one point now karma and fisker are separate brands cause they were owned by 2 different folks under 1 brand back then
Tesla’s look better than this. Mazda’s look better than this. Karma looks like several designers couldn’t make up their minds. Good luck with that counter movement. Those aren’t “amazing proportions” André..
@@renesis5036 Design ! Every part of the designs is "borrowed" from someone elses designs and then slapped all together. Dont get me wrong Hyundai makes great cars for the price but this car competes in a whole other league and should stand out.
