Swamiji is explaining that we are compelled to act due to our existing desires. Hence while acting we must not project into the future. Because mind exists in the future. In the present there is no mind. So live and act in the present to transcend the mind and realise the one from whom the mind emerges.. the one who supports the mind.. which is one's own essential nature.
Swamiji is one of the greatest monks of recent times. I met him a few times till his maha samadhi in 1993. People can have opinions but please do not analyze Great Masters.
@ those who dint find this inspirational.. The message conveyed by Swamiji not to inspire you .. but to understand the actual concept of Karma Yoga.. coz sometimes.. misinterpretation could lead to self annihilation.. you are requested to inspire yourself! thats the only way to learn and thats the only way to grow!

Shocked to read the comments by one of the viewers"swamiji 's speech was not inspiring".I would request the concerned viewer to go through karmayoga chapter in Bhagavatgeetha once carefully and listen to the lecture. .There is no parellel to Chinmayananda in English lecture based on Geetha particularly Karmayoga.The intensity,confidence,command of language and humour in his lecture cannot be surpassed by anybody. Of course others can be inspired by him!
