Man I am liking what you did with that 1600, I have been thinking about a bigger engine for my 64 Ghia, got a lot of 1600 engines but have yet to supercharge one. Looks like there is good room to fit that in on the Ghia, would love to have a parts list to start obtaining. Guess I'll start looking into it. Like the tach set up too instead of a clock. This is a nicely modified Karmann Ghia, it looks original but has a supercharger on the engine. Also I noticed that the tachometer is a modified Volkswagen miles per hour speedometer that looks like it is part of the instrument panel. With much greater power output there are two other things that should be modified. The engine needs to be rebuilt with stronger parts and the transaxle needs to be rebuilt with stronger parts so that these two things will last and not fail prematurely because of the increased power and torque.
I am thinking about buying and restoring a Karmann Ghia. I think what you’ve done to your car is one of the best restoration/modifications I’ve seen. I would love to hear the details.
