The Weaver Girl (Verse #174)
The Weaver's daughter listened to a sermon from the Buddha and diligently practiced what he taught. When she heard he had returned to her city, she desperately wanted to go see him, but first, she had to finish her work. The Buddha gave her a metaphor that helped her achieve enlightenment.
Wat San Fran is proud to present stories taken from the Jatakas, Dhammapada, and Buddhist history. These stories often use past rebirth stories (Jatakas) to reveal the connection between past and present, and illustrate the relationship between cause and effect.
Check out the playlist #AnimatedBuddhistStories by Wat San Fran to explore the complete series.

The best preparation for death, I feel, is to live a life one will not regret. Only when we live completely, the end does not worry us.

The ancient romans had a saying; "Memento Mori". It translates to "Remember that you have to die". It also refers to items meant to remind one of one's own mortality, such as a painting of a skull.

How did the girl only become a Sotapanna after a receiving the Dharma before death and how her father directly become arahant after few years of ordination? Wasn't he supposed go through the first level and then only reach the level of Arahant? Someone please clarify what kind of realisation makes one become an Arahant? How do I check myself, which level of enlightenment I am in right now?
@atrudokht

There are many underlying factors for a being to reach Arahanta and only those who already gained Arahanta who could check and verify if others are Arahanta as well. Same thing with Sotapanna, Sakadagami and Anagami

edit - I want to edit this and say if you're enlightened, you wouldn't know that you are enlightened or not because of no attachment to self. at this age, it's recommended to just recite Namo Amitabha Buddha and seek rebirth in Amitabha's Pure Land. We can easily achieve enlightenment there
