Seeing as Kars comes from a culture that predated every human civilization by many dozen millenia, and many early human cultures did not frown upon being gay or crossdressing, it is entirely possible that, at the very least, Kars has nothing against it, if not having indulged in it himself. Homophobia and transphobia are actually quite recent things in human history. He's mocking Joseph's poor attempt of it, not the act itself. A very interesting distiction.
Homophobia and/or transphobia is something actually more modern than you'd think. In ancient times, in some cultures, crossdressing or being gay was not frowned upon, so this makes a lot of sense.
@@DraculaCronqvist I really doubt that crossdressing/homosexuality was a common thing back then on the basis of it being hazardous to one’s health (given that there wasnt an effective lubricant, Prolapses and tearing of the lower intestines wouldve been common and pretty much a death knell) and incredibly unclean. Generally, it was used by the Greek and Roman military officers the same way Slave Masters used “buck breaking” to subjugate black men in the Americas. Homosexuality historically has been used as more of a weapon to traumatize men into subjugation than an actual lifestyle choice.
Would it really surprise you, though? They were friends for at least 80k years and raised two children together, all canonically. It's not difficult to imagine that there's more to them than eternal friendship (which is certainly possible, but the other alternative is just as plausible).
I doubt it, since Jonathan is an understanding person and Kars didn't originally make the mask for that purpose. Kars isn't as evil as Dio Brando, IMO... just an existential threat by his nature.

Possibly. It’s revealed in Crazy Diamond Demonic Heartbreak that there’s someone who might’ve received essence from Kars, so it’s possible he can make people immortal that way.

He is above vampires. The Pillar species is the step above vampires in evolution, hence why Santana wasnt killed by UV lights but merely stopped by it. He has similar attributes like absorbing and being vulnerable to strong hamon, but overall he is more powerful in every way.
A year old comment, but if you still don’t know, Kars MADE vampires basically, vampires are an evolutionary form of humans HE ALLOWED to exist thanks to the stone mask (his invention). The Pillar Men are a separate species that predate humans, while they are similar, he modeled the masks to unlock more potential out of the Pillar Men, eventually he used it on humans to evolve them to be his servants and food.
