Clones originally started just like the flathead did and as the predators are now .. as a box stock engine . They were originally a copy of the Honda 200gx engine and were a harbor freight engine called greyhound then they came out with the bsp engines ( box stock project) then they started coming out with the cams and carbs and headers etc and switched from 5 bolt head and I believe 6 bolt side cover to 4 bolt sidecover and head ... they are now made by dupar ducar Tillotson mainly... predators down south are already going the route of the clones and are a ideal rwyb and stock appearing engine base easy and cheap to make 18hp with them... they are still box stock up here because they haven't been around as long give it time that'll change lol

ah man no love for the LO206 ? lol... Here in New England the 206 is pretty popular. Also , predominantly here in the 207 we run rocker karts. Which is just a flat kart with a floating cage. My step son runs a rocker with a LO206 on the dirt and Champ with a built animal on the pavement. Our home track is a LO206 track across 7 classes. From Jr boxstock to wing champ all on the 206

There’s actually two different version of the predator. There’s a Hemi and non Hemi. They are both allowed in the Predator class. Some people will say the Hemi is faster others say no the non Hemi is faster. I ran a non Hemi and I was running with the Hemis just fine. The Ghost is pretty much the Hemi with a little hotter cam and a 6100 rpm rev limiter. The Ghost is supposed to be a direct competitor to the Briggs 206.

I run pro clone and weight is 420, I have to run against 360. Everyone says weight doesn't matter, but when I ask to set 1 race at #400 to see who the real champ at the track. They always reject me when I ask. It's ok, but weight really does matter.

I thought it was Rotax it might be different for the us but in Europe it’s Rotax?

Clones you also have NKA Rules and AKRA rules.

Here super heavy, driver must weigh 200lbs, kart and driver 400.
