What is the shame you are referring here - Passport or Security? Country relations defined by signed MOUs. If you have any doubts about passport requirements and since you don't trust Indian media google a Dawn article about passport comments by Pakistan Foreign office comment, you can get your answer about passport requirements. For the question about security, you are crossing an international border to a country where relations are not normal and this security measures universal across all countries. It seems you have limited memory of incidents inside India Mumbai, Kargil, Parliament, etc.....Their media report any militant as fighters but not terrorists or militants. You have to be factual while complaining. There was a historical fact why more Sikh brothers and sisters are in India(after Partition) and are respected and loved by all Indians. Bag checking and finger print checking is must, Pakistan government would do the same, if lets say Hindu pilgrims go there, or lets say Qadiyani pilgrims go to Qadiyans. (because these are minorities, and we have our reservations) but what the government of India can do is to make it less painful and less offensive. Maybe place Sikh security force officials, (but I don't think Hinduvta mentality of Indian government trusts Sikhs). Sikhs need to understand that border crossing is more of a risk for India than Pakistan, because we can cordon off most of the sikhs till temple, but indians fear the import of weapons and fueling of the Khalistan movement. @@harrisbinkhurram : I think you over heard or didn't listen carefully. Out of all the main concern and complaint is about "Prasaad". A speacially prepared food while chanting prayers and then presented to Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji in Ardaas. After Ardaas we take this Parsaad as blessings of Waheguru(Allaah). So at security they were forced to to get this Parsaad sniffed by a security dog. This is not acceptable at all. Security personnels mat be just doing as they were ordered. But they need to make a changes in this protocol.

Also about Prasad, it could be prepared on Indian side but then it's not as holy as it is prepared on the kartarpur sahib side. Lets hope BSF gets some sense and understand the sensitivity of the issue.

I am very much pleased and happy to learn from the pilgrims about the courtesy and hospitality displayed by our Pakistani staff. The local Sikh community should themselves raise the money to cater their pilgrims and facilitate them on account of transportation, food and hostels as travelling long distances without food when you are at 70 years of age is really difficult and challenging.

Being as an british i really feel bad for sikhs, during partition they were thrown out of their own punjab which is pakistan punjab now, all their worship places are there, they deserve to get free visa access there, now indian govt has made their life hell too, sikhs should really protest and should leave india as soon as possible.
