The first 2 bumps were just bad awareness, the 3rd when bright sent it again is just anger but then number 12 caused an accident under yellows which should be a black flag and get banned from the track. The hands off the wheel is childish, i remember the 8-12 year olds used to do it in pro karting when they crashes because they saw the f1 drivers doing it but totally different circumstances
It's simple if you are going to get that angered in a race than get off the track. You are a danger to yourself and others. Even though this is karting it transfers through out the racing realm. Both were at fault here and should off been pulled off for a lap a piece and told to not act like children. Also very concerning that his reaction is to let go of the wheel. Maybe your dad should take him on a rally car ride so he can see the dangers of what temper and speed can do.
Love the #8 kart driver doing the classic rocking back and forward to try and make the cart go faster! 😆 I doesn't work, but you've got to admire the optimism!
Brights anger kind of lead him to that crash. I believe that lead him to take his hands off the wheel in anger. Looks like a little misjudgement there by kart 12 when that other kart was stuck in his way but I'd say his temper also got the best of him as we saw him go into bright.
Yeah I don’t think Bright’s anger excuses the actions of Kart 12, but it definitely made him end up in the wall - I said to him that all he needed to do was keep hands on the wheel and he’s not in the barrier!
Would have been better if Bright just looked past the incident and carried on racing, unfortunately they just kept pissing each other off more and more
In owner karting if you take a hand off the wheel unless signalling that you are entering the pits you get a penalty, but that would be unnecessary in rentals, so I guess it’s fine.
Watching this makes me glad I no longer race rentals. I still manage an indoor track but used to race outdoor rental. Contact in rentals is just annoying as hell, most of the time it's just pointless overtakes that were never on and claiming they "had the line". Bright is basically just doing what every rental driver does and that's trying to make a scene. Hands up everywhere, which as you've seen is more dangerous as he has no control. Glad it's not me anymore 😂 too old for that nonsense.
Worked at Superkarts Go-kart hire Centre until 2013. The Marshalling at this place is terrible. Nobody wound have escaped my FINGER POINTING and possibly a Black Flag. I point the finger to pull you over so you are separated... 😂 great vid 🎉
Both drivers were being overly aggressive towards each other by getting caught up in the fight rather than taking a step back and thinking of the race as a whole, although that said kart 12 shouldn't have ignored a yellow flag and tried to overtake that was just dangerous plus when he purposely crashes into the kart with the camera that's just unacceptable and reckless you shouldn't be karting if your the type of person to take your anger out like that, I agree that he would have easily have avoided being in the wall if he had kept his hands on the wheel but at that point I doubt he cared plus it was probably a good thing some distance was put between then on track so there wouldn't be an more incidents.
Problem is everybody thinks he's a great driver but not many know how to race... If the ego is bigger than skills it ends in ugly stuff 🙈 You and your friend fighting for pole but giving the place back if it's not clean, that is good racing 🤝🏻
Normally, even for this, my top channel, I wait to like the video until I genuinely like the video (that being 100% of the time). If JB senior is in the video, it's an instant like. Kart 12 was more at fault, but Bright shouldn't have been in that position to get smashed so honestly in either of their positions I'd have been ahead of them both. Personal battles are for laughs in the pub later, JB's call was right for the race. I take a simple view- if you're best mates with the guy, how would you drive? They'd both have made 1 less contact and Bright would have came out ahead, although as best mates 12 would have gone full Mario Kart and smashed him. My karting (and life) appproach is treat everyone like my best mate- smash them, buy a pint later. Bright should have just ignored the personal battle and gone for speed. The "chasing down my Dad and Bright" bit of this video is pro driving, I may be an arrogant tosser at times (all times, let's be honest, I drive a Porsche...) but that was class, good job JB. Also, my sister lives near you and I feel like someone has to ruin these £1100 tyres before I sell the Porsche, so we need a JB 981CS review! If you're free 3rd weekend in July I'll drive to you if you want a go in the porker ☺ After that it's gone whenever I get a decent (£30k+) price. Side note: one of my mates got a GR86 allocation for September. I can't get you a drive but he's promised me a go! One of 430 so he's a legend. He's swapping me a drive in my next car (some hot hatch, not an FK8 cos they're dull). Only problem- he doesn't want a drive in the 981CS because it's the best sports car there will ever be and the GR86 will feel crap. He's probably right, but I still want to shred his rear tyres 😁 Long comment because I got a half price Craft Gin Club box....but seriously, hook me up for a test drive, I'll bring the 981CS your way and it's worth it! Edit: To clarify, it's not about right/wrong, they were both wrong. If either of them had focused on the race, they'd have been ahead. Same reason Max crashed at Silverstone 21: no thought for the long game. Whoever thought of that would have ended up ahead fairly easily. Your Dad is a pro, perhaps not the most talented karter out there, but if I'm going to listen to 1 person in this race about driving (I should, I'm cocky but crap), he's it. You’ve outdone yourself with this one! Agree with the above re driving - particularly in a rental kart race… rubbing’s racing and there’s a fine line between aggressive passing and forcing the issue, I think originally there was some lack-of-awareness bumping, and then when frustration set in, some poor excuses for passes where there really wasn’t a gap by both drivers… but in rental karting it’s really not that deep, just go out there and battle with everyone as if they’re your mates! Appreciate the kind words re the driving! It’s getting better, still a long way to go before I feel like I’m really fast - need to be podium or winning at the buckmore pro series before I can really back my pace And re the Porsche, I’d love to! I do actually have availability that weekend - particularly on Sunday but maybe also middle of the day on Saturday - let me know what’s going on from your end 👀

The 987s are kind of more affordable for me at the moment but sadly need to prioritise my savings in a property first. They have good road presence these cars and reliability isn't bad on these either
regardless of how I feel about the contact between bright and #12, he should NOT have had both hands off the wheel to gesticulate. 2 hands on the wheel would have given him a lot more control and maybe kept him on the track a little longer. right or wrong from either of them, taking your hands off the wheel is not a smart play in any situation.

well, im just saying that if thats professional karting racing, they are doing it wrong, they should all weight you before the race, and put weights on each of the kart based of the weight of the driver, so it can be all equal, thats whats normally done in professional karting races
Kart #12 was quicker a bit round the corners, so he misjudged his entry speed at stadium, but decided to carry on with maneuver! The comeback in turn 4 was exactly the same aggressive like #12, so it caused all this middle finger 🖕 sines... 🤣🤣🤣 and the last thing driver tried to prove his point of view with hands off the steering wheel... ended up in tyre barrier!
I don't follow your channel and this is the first video I've watched, but Bright has emotional issues. He pushes the guy wide without mentally understanding that he's building receipts. If you shove someone wide and leave the door open, they're going to push you wide. Tit for tat, but Bright forgot that he was the Tit. Then, under a yellow flag, Bright, knowing the other maniac shouldn't pass, funnels the maniac wide into the spun car forcing a "hit the brakes" or "ram me", scenario feeling completely morally correct because the maniac shouldn't be trying to revenge pass in the first place. Dude was willing to risk the safety of another driver rather than just lift and let the maniac take and give back the position. THEN, after the impact, bright throws his hands up like he's faking a futbol foul. As if he didn't look like a theatrical french mime on the track. Blame clearly goes both ways here, but the premeditated nature of Bright's behavior was on another level.
If I was there I would have pay bright 1? $100 just to see him punch number 12 in the face. If that happened to me I will beat them up until I put anyone in in the hospital who did that to me. I totally understand Bright's anger I would fell the same way.
You need a wake up call you racing rental karts dude bring you butt to the track we show you what real go kart is like but don't think you not going home with out some stuff not bent or kitty letter all in your shorts lol
