Brixton July 2009, LSF finished off as expected. The crowd were still singing 'Laaaaa la laaaa, la la la la' forty minutes later on the platform of Brixton tube. One of the best gigs I've ever seen.
@@Rosstacular Definitely, I can remember the tube train leaving Brixton station with the crows still singing that bit of the LSF track. It was hot AF too, really warm day and the gig was boiling hot 🥵
Words can't describe what it was like to be three rows from the barrier for this gig. The atmosphere was unreal, and Kasabian, well, they achieved legendary status after this gig. I remember eyebrows being raised when they got announced as a headliner, but man, did they prove people wrong.
I was traveling across Canada in 2014, checking who was playing in each city I visited. Kasabian were in Toronto, didn't know any of their songs but tickets were cheap. Honestly one of the best nights of my life.
Same hear bud. I was stood in the front section but to the back, had a bit of space around us. I went in with low expectations and came out blown away, the best party ever. Glastonbury is the best festival. Bring on 2019!
I am an old man (Woodstock era) and I have not heard music that spins me up like this for 30 years. Absolutely wonderful. These guys are aliens, the muse is with them, the muse comes to very few, but Kasabian is filled with it.
Remember being in the audience that night- was a young lad and didn't know much about Kasabian. But believe me, I was convinced after this MAGICAL set. Have been to 6 shows since including King Power 2016. Delightful.
if you look into it, so many lead singers in rock bands have done stuff similar but the band lives on, and for tom who isnt work known compared to others, i was shcoked to see him expelled from the band
@@user-jm5eq3no7p of course! I guess you are so perfect and never make ANY mistakes right? So we all should be crucified for one mistake. Is that your logic? We all should be perfect??
@@mattwood1562 they equally absued each other but tom got off worse cause he's a man innit but they're married now so kasabian are just being bitches rn
It's been 4 years since I got to witness this live am everytime I watch this back I get goosebumps this was the best thing I've ever seen live the videos just don't do it justice
Arguably the greatest performance by a band in the history of Glastonbury, Why? everything was in place, the songs, the performance of the singer, the reaction of the audience, the lighting was the best ever, the string section that put down their instruments and did backing vocals, the Saturday and Sunday evening performances are always special.... If ever there was a reason for keeping the BBC licence fee it is moments like this. Could someone please post the full concert
I saw them live a few weeks prior to Glastonbury when they played a few warm up gig's in Ireland. They played a tiny venue in Galway to a few hundred people. It was best gig I was ever at. They played as if they were playing to 100,000 at Glastonbury. Brilliant seeing a band at their peak up close and personal
My fave, in so many ways... I wasn't there in the flesh, but I rocked this concert in the comforts of my living room once very late Sunday evening and had the best time ever! xxxxxxxxxxxxx
From Sweden and found this band 6 months ago thinking how has this gone under the radar. Major quality and tonight watching them live on yt for the first time they hit new levels for me
Serge not front man and obviously not good. I saw real kasabian and Serge never be good enough And Tom ok now. He still one of the best frontman in his generation
@@kingmarble3400 You would need to a reply of the game and fast forward through it. But they were definitely chanting it, the la la la thing. It was great.
So I gave kasabian a swerve back in the day.. Dunno why I just wasn't into it. I saw Tom support Noel Gallagher back in December and instantly fell in love with tunes I'd previously ignored. He's an immense front man and deserves his shot at redemption.
Come on, get back to geather. The world needs your music more than ever. The muse comes to few, but it came to you collectively. We need Kasabian whole in total now.
I feel sorry about Tom. Hopefully he is going to get the things together. This might be the most valuable experience in his life and let him find himself. We know that many succesfull musicans ended up with additctions, mental health problems etc. Fingers crossed Tom, life is not over. See you in the future.
Absolutely love this band. Tom your private life is none of my business, wish you all the best, can't see me listing anymore unless you front and center.

@@TheUltimateToad wrong. He released a statement saying he stepped down and once that broke, a furious Serge and Kasabian management released a statement denying Tom had resigned He was fired and then they painted him in a deserved light of a woman beater. Facts.
@@lennycook206 Am I correct in saying that whatever happened, he was punished accordingly and has reconciled with his partner since. I am no way excusing what he done, I think it is disgusting and deserves punishment. But he has apologised, been charged with a crime he admitted to being guilty too and will live with his actions for the rest of his life. I'm not saying I think he should be back in the band either, leaving the band is also another more than suitable punishment. But at what point do we stop continuing to punish him and does rehabilitation kick in? Personally I think I would like to see him do work for domestic violence charities etc which maybe he is doing. I don't know. Yes he was a violent woman beating piece of shit but maybe he's become a better man, is he allowed to become a better man?
@@JF-vh7lj you probably need to start a petition or something. This is a RU-vid comments section dude. Your campaign work isn't doing its best here....
This is one of the best Glastonbury performances ever. Tom really was the element that made Kasabian a great band that deserved Glastonbury. There are very few musicians who by their mere presence on stage let you know that this is going to be a great performance and Tom is one of them. That feeling is just there or it's not. The man taught us how to sing all those songs over the years. Good memories
