Kasabian warming up the crowd before Liam comes on at knebworth was such a brilliant idea!!! Sergio's enthusiasm was contagious throughout the evening. The band is on fire! Go watch them live if you get a chance.
@@eneDK5594 not really the same though is it? I might be wrong but didn’t Noel start afresh with a completely new band? I would still say it’s Oasis/Kasabian if it’s the whole band minus the lead singer. Especially when the new lead singer was already doing a significant amount on vocals for the band. Just my opinion
HUGE admiration for Serge, he reinvents himself&the band over and over again. And he's unstoppable and fearless considering all the circumstances. And it's a true commitment to the music, for me. Luckily I've been LIVE to Kasabian so many times, it's a monstrous energy!
The rap at the start is very un-Kasabian, but I love it. He delivers it so well. Love that they're experimenting and going in a new direction. There's only so many of the same type of song you can make before it gets old. They've always had a variety of styles, now they're adding even more. This band can do everything
@@letswalkandwalk I actually agree with you on that. Tunes like velociraptor, vlad, days are forgotten, processed beats all have rap rhythms to the vocals. My point here is that the rap is much more overt and aggressive - which is different to the normal rap influences that he's used in the past.
I loved club foot at knebworth. He is a great front man Sergio. Robert Harvey too I love. Did he say no to being the front man? I mean the Music are incredible anyway.
Kasabian are a slow burner of an awesome UK band. Never bestowed with the glory they truly afford, they have committed to rock music since the 90's with absolute quality. I love a number of Kasabian songs... And in my mind, they're better and more exciting than Oasis and Blur during the 90's pop schism of the masses. While Kula Shaker, another superior band, were shut down by the state for comments the journalists failed to comprehend, 'Kasabian' have survived the entire mission, and, alongside epic bands like Muse, should, and could, easily be considered in the 'top five British UK bands' of modernity. I think their work is great.
Watched Kasabian live at Eden Sessions the other night and they were awesome. I sense this performance was toned down for a studio. Go see them live and be blown away. Their performance of Scripture was amazing...the bass was booming and the performance spot on. Serge worked the crowd well and sang bang on. Seriously great stuff!
Why run and jump around if you're going to run out of breath quickly and can't hold certain notes any longer... Luckily, there's the great Rob Harvey to assist him.
Totally agree , Serge is trying but he’s just not a frontman , I won’t buy anything else after the last Tom album, that’s the kasabian I love definitely not this ….
Funny. Serge was formerly a very cool lead guitarist in an incredible indie rock and roll band. Great style, cool hair etc. Now 41 jumping round like a little kid in a shell suit doing his best rap impression having had one pop tart too many. Nevermind.
@@jessica5497 tell the record companies and art dealers that. Every heard of Billboard, the Brits,Mercury Prize or The Turner Prize, etc? But saying that all art is purely a matter of taste.
I'm gutted it's ended up like this. Kasabian acted far too hastily dismissing Tom , of course what he did was wrong, but none of us are saints, none of us. This to me is Kasabian light, and I absolutely love Serge he's amazing, but that chemistry with Tom was electric. Its just such a shame.
@@TheMusicalElitist totally wouldn't dispute that, of course your right 100% , it was disgusting what happened , nobody should condone abuse like that in any form, from where I stand I just feel his wife or partner forgave him in fact they are still together so if she can I guess we all can, forgiveness isn't for all tho, I totally respect your view because you are right. I guess what I mean is nobody knows what led Tom to that state be it drugs, alcohol or whatever, whatever the reason, she forgave him and that's all that matters I suppose. You are right to highlight it tho
Definitely, some of these people saying Tom should have been fired , well there is a lot more to the story that’s a fact , Serge & his buddies were all giving Tom a hard time years before the incident and it was no secret Serge wanted the limelight , Tom was suffering big time there was a scuffle with his girl but he did not beat her up , it’s a shame it ended this way but as soon as the fad wears off of Serge as a frontman people will get fed up , he’s not got Toms charisma at all ……
I can't believe how this masterpiece can't have at least 30 million views in 2 months... is our generation so bad to just listen, dua lipa, lil nas and bad bunny?
