Last night I saw a dream. A post apocalyptic India, devastated by Corona, where democracy has fallen. Warlords rise, they take and provide. Anybody who was found infected was shot to death. I was born as a kid again, grew up listening to rock all day long. I remember somebody say that few men are going to be executed today. I was listening to this favorite track of mine, I don't recall the name of the band though. Few moments ago they declared that their next gig is going to be their last one. They are about to perform in front of the audience for the first time, not in some anti-corona sterilized studio room. They said its their " Khwaab". Little did I know that they were infected and it was their one last wish.... (Listen and watch closely..)
That kid's acting is everything...! He pretty much reflected the painful aspect of the song....And of course I can go all day long about Bilal's Vocals....this song is already a classic hit....sad part is its not getting enough recognition
Intro totally reminds of "Welcome to the Machine" by Pink Floyd. And when you hear the solo, it reminds you of Suraj Mani and Tattva's performance of 'Broken' by Motherjane.
I might be wrong but why do I feel like that it's representing the current situation of music/musicians in our country. Like the band is a successful singers and are killed after they've finished singing the song, on the other hand the child has a dream of becoming a singer but he knows everything happened to a musician so he actually move on with a dream. In short, Kashmir performing on stage is his dream, but after seeing the dead body he had to kill his that is when the guy loaded his gun to kill Kashmir.
Video is open to interpretation. So I don’t think there is any right or wrong. Well, unless Kashmir come out and give their reasoning behind the video!
@@stargazer5897 well Kashmir did said on an interview after the launch of song that it represents the situation of the music in country from mid-2000s to early 2010s, when everyone was not making music or doing live shows due to terrorism.

Amazing stuff! What I get from it is that art, freedom of expression, and individual thought are gradually moving towards death. The gunmen represent the society - critical, cruel, and relentless. The child is going through the remains of what was once a free space. He has the headphones on, so he is still connected to the essence of art, music - expression. He represents hope. The sadness and dirt on the kid's face shows that he belongs to the same society, but being a kid he has survived so far.

Accidentally stumbled upon this while trying to find a song but I must say wow. What an amazing voice and the song and the music, lyrics and composition and the video and the story. It's so beautiful. You guys are super underrated. The vocalists voice like HOW BEAUTIFUL. I wish Independent artists weren't so underrated and overlooked over Bollywood it's so sad. I have always wanted to be a independent singer but I know how hard it is in India to become one and survive. But I am glad for the recent explosion of Indie music here. I hope you guys get the recognition you deserve and you've earned a new fan here.
You guys are in a different league altogether. Songs, music, drummer, guitarist, vocalist, arrangement, choreography, almost everything is a class above. After Junoon, you may be the band who can compare at that level. Just don't get too big in your heads and break up. It's all of you put together that makes this magic work. since urdu is my second language, i love doing this myself, the only two lines i think i'd adjust a bit are below. Keep in mind - urdu is not my first language so i'm probably off base, this is kind of minor nitpicks really but i think the context changes just very subtly Yaadon ke safar mein tu bas gaya hai na In the journey of memories you have departed (abruptly) -the way i read/hear this is "as if it was used in the context of "meh bas wahan gaya tha" which would translate to "i just went over there". So he's saying that the person just took off on a journey of memories and in a manner that is somewhat abrupt/sudden Kal ki soch mein aaj kyun hai fana While thinking of yesterday why have you erased yourself from today? -I think your version is more poetic making "aaj" the subject. My translation is that the word "tu" has been stylistically removed. So the full sentence would be "kal ki soch mein tu aaj kyun hai fana" which wouldn't flow as well, so removing the word "tu" and adding just a brief pause (comma in english) allows the sentence to keep the subject on the listener (the entire song is directly being sung to someone, so even when not specifically saying "tu" the subject remains the listener)
I loved the song and i absolutely loved the video. After hearing you guys as truly the best in season 2 you have upped the game through this song and video. The music is outstanding and mature and vocals are good. I love the heaviness of the song . this goes to my workout play list. want more
