To beat the heat during this summer we planned a trip to somewhere cool and what better place to go to other than Kashmir!
A 5 days 4 nights trip to Kashmir was planned and we were on our way.
Day 1: An early morning flight from Bengaluru/Bangalore to Srinagar via Amritsar and we landed around 1pm. We had a quick lunch and brought a SIM card because SIM cards from other states don't work in J&K. After that we were on our way to Pahalgam. A scenic beautiful drive alongside apple farms where we can have some fresh apple juices, chutneys and achaars, and by the time we reached Pahalgam it was almost time for sunset.
Day 2: After having breakfast we were ready for our adventure, a full day out in Pahalgam where we were first taken to visit mini Switzerland and then to ABC valleys which are Auro valley, Betaab valley and Chandanvaadi.
Day 3: After breakfast and checking out of our hotel in Pahalgam we were on our way back to Srinagar. As soon as we reached here we first visited the Mughal Gardens and then went on a shikara in Dal lake.
Day 4: We didn’t see snow anywhere so we were ready to experience for the first time when we were on our way to Sonmarg. After reaching Sonmarg you will be taken in a separate car to the Zero Point.
Day 5: On our last day we had planned to go to Gulmarg, Gondola but the tickets were sold out until the next week. So instead of going there we asked our tour guide to take us to Doodhpatri which was a pleasant surprise because not many people know about this place and it was very beautiful and scenic, the horse ride was just straight out of fantasy.
