The 7 Sight Foundation and Eye7 Eye Hospitals embarked on an extraordinary expedition across India!
Their mission was ambitious: they traveled 3747 km from the northern heights of Kashmir to the southern shores of Kanyakumari, securing an eye donation pledge for every kilometer traveled. This pioneering drive aimed to illuminate the lives of millions affected by corneal blindness, transforming despair into hope with each step forward.

The rally was kicked off with flair in Srinagar on May 5, 2024, featuring a breathtaking Lamborghini car rally. This significant event was flagged off by Shri Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir, setting the stage for a journey of hope and healing.

Corneal blindness, a severe condition predominantly caused by corneal opacities, can be reversed through successful corneal transplants. However, the challenge lay in the severe shortage of corneal donations in India, exacerbated by prevalent myths and widespread misinformation.

As the rally drove through key cities like Ludhiana, Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, it drew considerable public interest and media coverage, significantly enhancing the visibility of this cause. Esteemed guests including Maj. Gen. Dr. J.K.S. Parihar, President of the Eye Bank Association of India; Dr. K.P.S. Malik, former Deputy Director-General of Health Services; Mr. Ch. Zakir Hussain, former MLA and BJP Minority Morcha National Vice President; Mr. Aaley Mohammad Iqbal, Deputy Mayor of Delhi; Mr. Madan Lal Bagga & Mr. Gurpreet Bassi Gogi esteemed MLAs in Ludhiana, bolstered the campaign's profile and outreach.
