lol yup... he SOLD OUT so hard. i saw him in 2010 in Vegas. His peak year. Peak performance. Best music. He played the trap remix to this song wayyyy before trap was even a thing.
sbatra86 truth. I remember we used to use the term "EDM" to describe the entire of umbrella of dance oriented electronic music whether it was dnb, dubstep, house, techno, trance, electro etc. it was used to describe festivals where all of these genres of dance music were on display. this was around 2005-2010. I never thought it would become its own shitty genre.
Joshua Holton Erm, EDM is still used as an umbrella term, which is a genre that describes other genres (sub genre) for example, Rock. The sub genres under that would be Rock'n roll, metal, etc. EDM was also known as Techno in the past.
EDM was not known as techno in the past. techno was known as techno. EDM was a shortcut term when you didn't wanna list out every genre of dance music you listened to, or what kind of rave you were going to. but tomatoes tomatos i guess
This is by far one of the best MODERN EDM mixes I've heard. Every producer should listen to how DeadMau5 and Kaskade used automation and releases. The vocals are now drowning in reverb.
Literally just discovered this 2 days ago on BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix. Didn’t realise this came out when I was 8. Still sounds so fresh. Thank God I’ve finally heard it, just 13 years later!
Ahhh. This was it. I was 20 years old in 2008 when this was hitting the clubs. I had an amazing group of friends. We clubbed heavily. I’m now 35 and it’s super sad how todays 20 year olds are at home wasting their youth on TikTok. The memories I have an intense. Get out there and enjoy life people.
Yep, and someone posted on a Stardust “Music Sounds Better With You” in 2010 that they were 20 years old in 1998 and were out clubbing all the time. And how the internet, MySpace, video games, etc we’re distracting todays youth from the same experiences you have nostalgia for. Your old 😂
Omfg! Gives me the chills!i remember having the best roll of the night & I was in the coliseum on good floored level looking up into the Cali summer night sky on a good trip. Ever since then I get the spooks & couldn't listen to the song for a while without my brain & body going back into that state! Omfg timeless song! They don't make this type anymore in the edm scene. Very sad! Even the first time ravers know this song..can't believe I forgot about this
On the same page that night so vivid 2009 was calmer an had the best trip so was 2010 but nothing like Rollin as the sun goes down an everyone having the time of thier lives but the fuckd it up it got to played out every year it was bound to happen after that 15 year old OD an fuckd up everything
I had your exact experience at edc 2010. Unbelievable vibes. I still go to edc and as amazing as it is, it'll never have the same feeling before edm when radio mainstream. The culture was so alive back then.
This song bangs in Hawaii at night driving by the beach head into the city to see the lights then exit slow chase the moon to north shore just relax and enjoy ur 86
I've been listening to this track for 20 years high or not ! Still great 😊 Kaskade Mau5 And many others were the pinnacle of rave, edm and house 🏠 Benni benassi Ogs
I remember being in Austin,TX at some club dancing the night away with some beautiful girl that had moved from Russia. We danced the night away and I remember kissing her to this song and here telling me how much fun she had. Man what a moment frozen in time with all the lights behind us, felt like we were the only ones on the dance floor.
I love this song! Kaskade is such a musical genius! He is simply a master of the dancefloor musical. I can't wait for another one of these (and another)! I swear I listen to this song over and over and over. Thank You Kaskade!
i remember when this song first came out, I started raving and mdma was rampant here in Toronto.. meeting so many ppl with the same love for music dancing till 5am.
I miss when EDM still sounded and felt like this. Back in 2009 sun setting as we walk down the coliseum stairs into an ocean of people as Kaskade plays this song.
I just love the whole chord progression of this song its like similar to a major 7 i can't really think of what it is atm but it makes it sound so futuristic and timeless
heard this live at kaskade sofi stadium . It was a throwback moment where youll only hear it live a few more times.... Thank you deadmau5 & kaskade! Its over a decade long and still hits just as good 😇
I remember EDC Los Angeles 2010, got into the party early af like at 12:30pm, place was empty of course at that time. I'll never forget how nice it was to Rome around, hear this song in neon garden I think, and just admire the art + beautiful weather.
That was my first EDC ever and I went mainly to see mau5 and Kaskade.. it was unreal. I've been to every EDC since and seen them both more times than I can count now. Really thankful for how the scene changed my life. I'm seeing them both next weekend as their new project together, kx5, and it's at the coliseum again! It'll be an emotional one.
This takes me back to winter of 2016/2017. I know this song is definitely older than that, but that's when I discovered Kaskade and Haley. I rode my bike every morning to work in the Canadian winter to this jam. Good times, man.
