At the end, the king of the Cosmos swallows the winner, creating a hidden black hole level where you find Stephen Hawking and Carl Sagan hanging out...playing Katamari! 😂
I've wanted a Katamari game since I was like 6. My dad had a demo for it in the early PS3 days, so I was always restricted to that. However, years later, I snagged it on the Switch eShop with that spicy Pizza Hut $$$. Oh man, what a great game.
The PS5 should be backwards compatible for all Sony games, so I suggest someday keeping an eye out for We ❤️ Katamari for the PS2. That’s the improved sequel to the original that time forgot.
boggles the mind why the first two games were never remastered for ps4. not even the ps3 exclusive katamari forever (which is a mishmash of katamaria 1/2 levels and some new ones thrown in) has been ported to ps4. what the hell is namco thinking?
Loved it on PS2. I had way more fun with it's sequel We Love Katamari since it had more challenges like the 1 million roses challenge or keeping a Katamari on fire, had way more cousins to roll up and play as, and of course the gifts you can roll up and customize the outfits your character would wear.
We need We Love Katamari to be rebooted as well, my parents had the game when I was little and it's such a shame I can't play it anymore since our PS2 broke
Katamari is one of those games that you can just keep playing until perfection. It’s not terribly long but it’s designed in a way that it doesn’t need to be.
I love smash bros, got this game an smash when they came out on the 7th. I've had a lot more fun with this game, I hope they remaster the sequels, they have such great soundtracks
I never had a PS2 back in the day and have never played any of the Katamari games before so I’m super excited to play this; installing it on my PC now!
I wish they would make a new next generation game, using a modern physics engine and take it up an notch, with stop at the planet, go bigger, consume solar system, the galaxy, the entire UNIVERSE :D
It's just fantastic to see this masterpiece finally having hit PC; now all I need is Little Big Planet, and my all-time favorites collection from PlayStation is complete! Well, not quite; I still need wipEout and Omega Boost lol Edit: I forgot the Xenosaga trilogy. I need that to be on PC, too lol
I Really love katamari, but I have a question..If anything touches the katamari they get rolled up right? So how come the prince doesn't get rolled up Hmmm?
I'm mad that none of these professional "reviewers" fail to mention that the English voice acting is replaced with the original Japanese. And the english voices made the game so much weirder. I was very disappointed that the crazy English dub is missing.
Emperor Gao Zu calm down man he’s right it was on the ps2 first, it would make sense, if that’s the platform he plays on, why not? Why do you have something against the PS4?
It's actually a song from the game, it's called “Lonely Rolling Star.” Interestingly, this song is actually a tribute to a friend of Saki Kabata (the song's vocalist) who died in a traffic collision in the early 2000s.
I have Katamari Damacy the original, we love Katamari, beautiful Katamari for Xbox 360, and Katamari forever on PS3. Im hoping my mom will let me download Katamari reroll on PC cuz we don't have a switch.
Ich schau den Film am 15ten um meinen Geburtstag zu feiern bevor mir jetzt jemand gratuliert ich hätte schon am 21ten November Geburtstag hab aber aus... GRÜNDEN gewartet
It's 30 FPS with gameplay all across the Switch and PC, but in other places like the main menu (except when you get to the level menu) and The Prince in the bottom right corner, the game is 60 FPS. Why they didn't go for a 60 FPS all across the entire game, I have no idea.
@@shaitet Yeah, that seems a little strange, but if it is, like he says, pretty much a direct port from the PS2 game, it makes sense; they had to make concessions and compromises like that for a lot of the games on the PS2, and I imagine rewriting the frame handler (or whatever that would be called) would have been more trouble than it was worth.
Honestly. Katamari Damacy's home was on the original PS2, so I don't know why they didn't put it on the PS4 too. Maybe it's a timed exclusive hopefully.
@@shaitet I do hope y'all do get it on PS4, but it's just nice to finally be able to play it again; I haven't picked it up (yet), but I haven't had a PS2 in YEARS, so I've been up Schitt Creek without a paddle for quite some time now. Nice to see some of the old favorites from back in the day finally making their way over to PC. And there's a TON! FF VII, (still waitin' for VIII), IX, X, X-2, XII, the original DmC trilogy, the Hitman games, Bloodrayne, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro...there's a few yet I'm waitin' for to come down the pipeline, but, it's great to be able to relive some of my childhood without having to A.) spend a crap ton on an old PS2 AND all the games I wanna play, or B.) start singing yar har fiddle dee dee lol
Same here but at Wal-Mart. Saw it a few minutes ago on the clearance rack and couldn't resist. I've been meaning to buy the first Katamari Damacy and now I can enjoy it in high definition.
