More than 15 years or more ago, I saw Kate perform Talking Heads' 'Psycho Killer' at the end of a 'Spicks and Specks' episode on TV. I yelled out to my then 16yo daughter who is a classically trained soprano, saying you have GOT to see this. She came out and watched, her jaw dropping in utter amazement and became an Instant fan of this amazing talent. Since then she has pretty much been to every KM-H show she's ever performed in Melbourne.
Somebody in a video mentioned she had performed so often in the sydney opera house, so I thought she'd be a high class opera singer but her music is so quirky and weird. It's awesome!
@@Nammilicious She is fantastic in everything she attempts, but the fact she purposely attempts to be weird is quite polarising, but I absolutely love her for it.
16 May 2019. Saw this for the first time. Hilarious. Meanwhile, Kate is slaying at Eurovision in Tel Aviv. Go Kate!! ... and the ad that played at the end was an ad for Eurovision. Nice.
Tonight in San Diego Audre McDonald (soprano superstar) paid tribute to Kate and sang her song “are you f***ing kidding me” with the symphony playing the music. Now I know why Audra said Kate is a world class soprano.
Molly Bauckham Audra is touring this summer. You should see if she's coming to your city! Pretty sure this is on the current set list! I'd never heard it before her and I just about died. I just presumed you were from The U.S. 😂
Omg kate miller heidke i love u. I just seen u at caloundra music festival for the first time ever and u are even more beautiful in person. Im #starstrukk 🤩🤩
I, for one, enjoyed the gratuitous swearing in this video. I also like the fact that it is a song about Facebook. And, obviously, it is by Kate Miller-Heidke, so it is great!
I just found out about her and this song a week ago...but, yeah, everything you just said. Makes me wish I was an Aussie just so I could be part of the scene that created this awesome woman!
Lmao. I had the same thing happen to me, but in reverse. I'm a man and the woman who ripped my life apart contacted me 6 months later wanting to be my "friend". This lady is funny, real and very.......very? Very what? Very good.
We understand, dear; rejection isn't easy for anyone, @jlwinters1000. Hopefully you can find the strength to move on (it has been eight years, after all). ❤❤❤
