The Duchess of Cambridge marks Mental Health Week on a visit with Prince William to a school in north London and pays tribute to her parents for her upbringing.
I think we all can see how much her upbringing has affected her to be such a gorgeous lady who loves her family so much. We can tell that she is happy with her life. We can also see that she really loves to engage with people, especially children. Cant wait to see her becoming the queen consort of UK😊😊

So beautiful. The Duchess is a lovely lady! I think it was great to emphasise the importance of a good education nowadays, so our kids realise that no matter where you come from, or how humble your origins were or how poor your family is, if you are well educated and you persist, you can always reach the top.

Kate is such a lovely person, she looked more relaxed and not so strained or rigid in her appearance at that time ,The weight of the role must be so stressful, She's a great great assert to william in every way, Diana's blessings from above🙏
when i was child (8 years old) when me and my family were watching tv i saw kate and williams wedding. this was the first time that i've seen the royal family. .. i loved them i always watched some videos about them .and i improved my english because of them. now im the big fan of kate. i love her so so so much i just want to see her once in my time. but its impossible i know im living in turkey and in turkey and nobody dont know royal family members. i want to go to britain just because of them just want to see... now im studying so hard to go britain. (sorry for bad english and grammer mistakes.)
I think she said some time ago she still feels frightened to make speeches .. she will learn with time ... but if we really think, she only has been doing this for a few years (only 4 / 5 years).. not like William or Harry
yea she seems a bit nervous but she has definitely improved. I think she will get better with time. I recall watching vids of Princess Diana back when she first married Prince Charles and she spoke this way too but later in her life, she was much more confident in her speeches :)
Carolyn Campbell She has certainly come a long way, HRH is much more fluid and less nervous. She is doing so well and becoming a great ambassador for nation, community and charity.

anarcho vegan all the speeches of politicians and royal are written by someone. Even the so called intelligent speech of meghan markle was written by someone.
I think her words were kind and loving no matter who wrote them. Even when people read quotes and poems dedicated and written by others it can still be heartfelt in the same way. And I did use the word "spoken" not "written" fyi.
Could someone tell me what she's saying at 1:00 ("...not to have been confronted by..." - by what?) I don't understand and don't believe the subtitles :(
Geez. So many haters. Ya'll need to just back up and sit down. Sure, it wasn't the smoothest speech, but it was from the heart. All the people mentioned who do these speeches fluently has had many years exposure. So instead of hating, why don't you all just cheer her on for a change and support her with her journey in this. A kinder word takes you further than criticism. So if you can't say anything nice, please just stop. You're only making yourselves look like fools.
I love her, very much love and adore her. But she does need improvement in delivering speech, perhaps more eye contact to audience and try to memorize a little bit more, so it looks like she saying it naturally from her heart as if the speech was written by her. I optimistic that she will improve. I love her and William so much.
She's so nervous bless her!! Some people are comfortable with public speaking, some are not. She will get there!! Amazing how the comments have changed towards her in the last 5-6 months though! 🤔🤔 She has such a lovely soft voice! Rehearsing beforehand as much as possible will really help her not to rely on her notes as much! Keep going Duchess Catherine, you can do it!!!!
I just watched Meghan speech...uuugghh, poor Kate!!! I feel really bad for her! Some of these comments from just last year are hateful, when she speaks now people are really going to blast her....☹️... hopefully she's practicing while she's on leave...

Chanda I was thinking the same thing. When something is dear to your heart the words should flow easily. She reminds me of someone that has not prepare for their speech when I was in school.
Don't be so cruel! She is naturally shy. How about you show us your excellent public speaking skills and show us how wonderful u do in public duties in front of hundreds of ppl.

I've read some comments in regards to Katherine's speech and comparing her to Meghan, but has anyone thought hey she might have a fear of public speaking and needs the notes to make her feel secure, not that she doesn't know her speech of by heart and she didn't write it. Meghan is a former actress so is used to making public speeches and yes Katherine has been making speeches for the last five years, but it doesn't mean it doesn't freak her out. Many people have jobs where they have to carry out presentations, speeches and network how many of you still freak out even though you should be used to it by now?
Are you serious right now, being an actress doesn't make you a public speaker, a good example is Kristen Stewart. Very good actress but bad public speaker.
She is her own person, people need to respect that. However, in a world full of strong women and intelligent women, she's hardly the sharpest knife in the draw. She comes across thick and needs alot of support to be who/where she's required to be. She belongs in the kitchen and changing diapers. My observation doesn't mean I disrespect her, I am only putting what I think she is, against what is required of her position. Nowonder she's a darling of the British tabloids because, she won't speak her mind. I guess, that makes her perfect as subservient wife. Beautiful and elegant to look at, but, that's about it. Her speeches/voice are feable and non engaging. Would need extra lessons/support to pass an exam!!!
It seems like reading off papers makes it more artificial because it seems like someone else wrote the speech for you. If you felt what was on the paper at least you can improvise.
When you speak from the heart Natalie, you are not memorizing. The words just come to you and you don’t need to read off of a paper. Why would I not trust someone who can speak without a paper? I understand Catherine though, she seems a little nervous and not as confident. I would probably feel the same if I had to speak in public a lot of the time. Agree with you Evelyn.
