@@frostxxbitex O I c ur playing the race card. 1. I've dated a lot more black women than white women. 2. The card I'm playing is Self Love. 3. U only see the parts that is to do with what u have been through. What about looking at it from a different view maybe even from Kate's point? So ur saying poor pitiful Sophie. She's had 2 great people love her yet lied to both of them for years now. Poor Sophie it's ok that u destroyed Kate's world. It's also ok that you destroyed your husband's world too. It's ok that u lied to yourself this whole time because if u didn't ur poor pitiful parents wouldn't love u anymore. It's ok that u was jealous of Kate having a new girlfriend cuz if u would have told the truth u never would have been jealous cuz u would have already been with Kate. It's ok that u lied ur whole entire marriage pretending to love a man u didn't love ....... really. It's not ok that Sophie did any of these things she did because she blames what her parents, church, school, society, god? Self Love is the only way to go not blaming how u was raised to show how shitty of a person u can be.

​@@miraclethemagnificent1837 Anyone who isn't racist wouldn't accuse someone of playing "the race card" when being called out, first of all. Secondly, what makes you think I'm on either side here? I see why Kate is upset and why she wants to distance herself from Sophie, as she 100% deserves someone who is ready and willing to be as selfless with love as she is. But I see Sophie's side, too. She spent years at that academy building a career, in the military, as a queer WOC and WAS ready to sacrifice all three of those years to be with the woman she loves shamelessly. But in the world of "don't ask, don't tell", what was she to do when faced with losing her entire career and how that would reflect on her family? The fact this fandom absolutely refuses to see her side of things REEKS of internalised racism, no matter how many black women you've dated or black friends you may have. And choosing a career she spent so hard working towards over a love that has no guarantee of surviving long term is incredibly short sighted. Sophie did nothing wrong, even if it did hurt Kate in the end. Not that Kate EVER held that against her though, so I don't know why you're insistent on doing so. Villainizing someone who hasn't yet learned to love themselves (due to the societal and family pressures, btw, not a personal choice) makes absolutely zero sense to me. Why not encourage and root for someone to be able to love themselves, instead? I truly hope this isn't how you would treat people suffering this way in real life. For you to be preaching about her needing to find 'self love' and also wishing her a lifetime of being with someone she could never be happy with as opposed to rooting for her to break OUT of that is alarming. Maybe *you* need to be doing some self reflection.
