KATE WOLF - In China or a Woman's Heart - Paramount Theatre, Austin Texas, 1985 

At 83 years I am in love with this woman and her voice...I have her music in my workshop every day all day. We all lost this angel only too soon, but thanks to kind people and RU-vid we have the gift of listening to her music...May her memory live forever XX

Another beautiful Kate Wolf composition. What an incredible talent she had.

This is a gem. I saw Kate the 1st time in 1981 in Nevada City. She hasn't left my side yet. I'm moving to Boston this week and all her records and CDs, even she DVD, are going with me. They'll mean even more to me so far from California and a town where Kate could be seen lunching with friends. I wish I could go and put flowers on her grave just an hour drive away, but I may be out of time. What sweet music came out of that sweet soul that touched my heart and so many others.

Kate voice is the silkiest voice I’ve heard. Her music is satiny and together with her voice they produce the best story telling music in the folk world. This is a beautiful song, one I hear every few days.

What a lovely song. It shows the skill of a songwriter. Having little more than that box and a story Kate has weaved a piece of musical magic. It's more than a skill. It's a gift. I've seen live videos of Kate before, but I think this is the only one where she is interacting with those around her. Just a small glimpse of who she was in life.

The woman was so beautiful, so talented, her simple folksy music was so pure, so clean..... RIP

Kate died in1986 lukkemia. God couldn't do without her. And she has become a star since she left this world behind. Still miss her. Come and be my love and shall prove whoever loved that loved not at first sight. Tis wisely said Marlowe other works could have been all lost and that poem alone would have earned him a place amongst men of English letters forever. He was right. what no enemy could ever do his own commander slew.

Bless her heart, soul, spirit and memory for the innate ability that this dear girl had that enabled her to weave, within a song, a seemingly innocuous wee item like a small enamelled box. When she tells her story one can understand why she remains so well loved by many who both knew her in person and discovered her after her passing.
