Kath and Lorna at Waterside and Allonby, 1954 

A family film showing my Mum, Kath Ellwood when she was 24, cycling with my Dad's cousin Lorna Ledgerwood near Waterside, Cumbria. Lorna is on her 'Mams' 1920s Royal Enfield Bicycle - yes we still have it - fully restored. The film features Allonby and a walk along the River Waver near Waterside where my Dad lived with his grandparents between 1923 and 1935. The area is much the same and interesting for locals to compare with how it is now, Hope you enjoy this bit of family nostagia!
