I like how Drew lifted Heigl up in this interview. We, as viewers, could tell Kathrine was in a vulnerable state in the interview. Unsure what her day was like, but Drew fed goodness her way. Hopefully when the interview was over, Drew changed Kathrine’s day and weekend. Drew seemed like a friend to Heigl-not just a talk show host..and that was heartwarming to see
Drew is truly a ray of sunshine and even as a child.. she always made my day better:) I think poor heigl has a bad wrap for being honest and true to herself. if the drama happened now, we would have ALL embraced her.
@@cats4114 agree. She got such a bad rap. The reaction to ultimately benign comments from a young adult thtown into fame was so harsh. Hope her career gets a second wind. She's definitely delightful.
Someday Hollywood will give this brave woman a huge apology for giving her the mark of death by labelling her as a difficult one for speaking her truth and making her almost unemployable.
@@dinh5532 Thank you. The way she showed ingratitude and insensitivity towards Shonda Rhimes when she turned down an EMMY nomination when she was on Grey's Anatomy was horrid. She stated she "did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant [a nomination]." True or not, she could've handled that with more grace and tact. Bottom line: Heigl thought she could parlay her fame from Grey's into becoming a big movie star. Well, that didn't pan out like she thought. Hopefully, in the years since, she's learned to be more appreciative and treat people with more kindness. We'll see.
@@EyeOnSciFiPod The thing is I knew Katherine before Greys I knew her from the movies she did as a teenager. I do think she gets a bad rap for simply speaking her truth. Could she had handled the thing with Shonda better? Of course but Shonda could have handled herself better as well. They both have lived and learned only difference is Shonda doesn't have her mistakes constantly thrown in her face at every turn.
@@EyeOnSciFiPod she declined to submit an episode for contention, she never declined a nomination. stop making things up. shonda was arrogant and hated the fact that she said "izzie wasn't given an episode to submit it", which is true because season 4 was the season of izzie and george's terrible romance. shonda got her ego bruised & took it out on a much younger woman and child actor turned movie star. she has ego issues (other people employed by her have confirmed). even sandra oh got into a fight with her with how she was approaching cristina's character.
I just LOVE Drew, like she's gotta be one of the nicest interviewers out there. She really does seem to have her guest's back when they're on her show. I truly hope her show runs for as long as she wishes.
In Canada, our Thanksgiving lands on our son's birthday from time to time, he asked me to make him a turkey cake for him on his 8th birthday with chocolate cake for the dark meat and vanilla for the white meat. It has become our tradition only for those extra special Birthday/Thanksgiving dinners. It is good to see and hear from Katherine again. She seems happy 😊.
She does look a bit different than her usual self, tho she hides it well. I may be off the mark here but there’s a sadness there, couple of times she was getting choked up a bit. Hope all is well, she deserves to be happy.
Love Firefly Lane watched season 1 twice and started to binge on season 2. She is a great actress! Also, she has always been big on animal rescue and helping animals. I hope someday she will become vegan. Really love the show!

Going to the grocery store is one of my favorite dates, you can really tell if you'll get along, longevity wise, then you have a delightful picnic to enjoy, or you realize they're terrible and leave with all your groceries lol
If Katherine said in this day & age what she said before, she’d be praised, encouraged and sympathized. Timing. She & Ellen almost made the same points and ellen stated this in recent years, no one doubted her and alot of people even backed her up.

And all that I see: fear, trying to find the right words so as not to offend ... whom? I don’t really understand why people then created the interview format in general , if I have to hear the same opinion, but from different people word for word. I have a suggestion for Katherine regarding her dog food. It it extremely hard like beef jerky. My dog has no teeth. She can't digest the food. Sharp edges as well. Please Katherine make a soft version.

D and K, if you have nurtured your relationships with your daughters, they may pull away at adulthood, but they will be back soon after and be thankful to have you as a friend. It will happen.
Katherine Heigl is a legend on & off the screen. She has my respect. I have WAY more respect for her than Patrick Dempsey, who is not a nice guy at all. I was a big fan of him until I saw how he treated an interviewer who was clearly nervous & shy. I was unimpressed from then on out. Not a fan, literally at all. I’d probably date him in real life cuz hes a big jerk 😂🤣🤦🏻♀️.. Shes okay.. but not the biggest fan of Pompeo either.
She's much bigger than that average role. Hollywood is trash, it only makes bad movies and series because it doesn't value its actors and actresses. This actress deserved a great work of cinema.

Her mom is really the reason why everybody in Hollywood started disliking her. Her mother is absolutely awful. So the crews started trashing her for that. So sad.
