I REALLY enjoyed this video! I'd never heard her story, and I could relate to the decisions she made along the way. Sooo sad that she died so soon after having her long awaited baby. She would have been an amazing mother, just as she had been for the King's children.
I absolutely loved it 😍😍 Your presentation was as polished and professional as always, but the face-to-face narration added a personal touch. Katherine Parr is an incredible woman, & as I've just visited her crypt at Sudley Castle, this video only deepened my admiration for her.
It was interesting to finally see the face behind the person showing us the recreated faces of historic women. As others will undoubtedly point out, this makes the presentations more personal, and more real. Please keep up the good work.
Thanks for doing this video on Katherine. I didn't know anything about her background except her marriage to Thomas Seymour. Also, loved the new format!
My three young daughters and I have been watching your channel for a long time now and they are so thrilled to finally know what you look like! I think they were as delighted to see you as they were to see Katherine Parr! Thank you so much for your wonderful recreations. We love your channel and wait patiently for each new person you bring to life. ❤
It’s disappointing that Katherine Parr is mostly known for being a wife of Henry the 8th that survived the marriage instead of being known as the first woman to have a published book using her own name in England.
She should be known by being the first woman to publish a book in England. Anne of Cleves should also be known as the (ex) wife who survived as well. She used all her cards right.
So many times I've watched your videos and thought how beautiful your voice is. I often tried to picture who the voice belonged to. It's so nice to see your face! You're just as beautiful as I'd imagined. Your voice is truly perfect for these videos. Thank you for all of your hard work on this channel ❤
I’m a direct descendant of Henry VIII. After my dad’s family did an extensive DNA and ancestry we discovered we came from the Tudor Dynasty! Since finding out I have been on a kick to learn as much as I can.
It was lovely to see you, your narration is always top notch. I can tell how passionate you are. I feel sorry for Catherine Parr. She was well educated, was in danger while married to Henry and when she finally married the man she loved and got pregnant, she died shortly afterwards. Not sure if Seymour loved her at all and I feel sorry for her daughter. She probably died as an infant after both her parents were dead. Great story, thank you so much 🙏
Her daughter's story seems more tragic since she is absent from historical records after the age of 2. Both her parents dead, left with no money, and a guardian who resented having to look after her. Sounds like a recipe for disaster. She may have died from neglect. Really sad 😢
I love listening to the history but I’m ALWAYS moved by the recreation. Both recreations, past and present, are stunning! Becca, you are beautiful as well. With such a soothing voice I can listen to you narrate all day. Thank you for sharing. ❤❤
I've always found it ironic that Katherine Parr was called "the queen who survived" when Anne of Cleves survived them all - even so far as to attend Queen Mary I's coronation. On another note, the new format change is a welcome one. To see the guiding narrator as if to say "There you are! Nice to finally meet you." It makes an already personable and cozy channel to be even more so. Congratulations on good execution, and thank you for the hard work and amazing artistic contributions that Royalty Now Studios makes to humanity and to history.
I always thank you for not just your recreations but the narrations (in your soothing voice). And it's nice to finally put a face to that voice. Love the format. It's like a history lesson with words, pictures and movement; though I need a little more time to read the text.
I totally understand about the text - we take more of a “pause to read” approach with it, where if the viewer is interested in extra info they can look at it.
@@RoyaltyNowStudios Will do. It didn't strike me to pause it because I'm so into listening to you. Thanks for the suggestion. I wanted to add thanks to your brother? for his work as well.
I really appreciate your historical background and reconstruction. You don't try to flatter; it is very close to the portrait and more realistic. There is no need to make them look better or more beautiful than they were. The artists have already taken care of that while painting or sculpting them.
I just realized how young Katherine was when she became queen! It's crazy that a woman in her early 30s was considered ''his mature queen and nursemaid'' back then. PS: I'd love to see a reconstruction of Diane de Poitiers by you! She's so iconic. Madame de Pompadour would be another awesome choice as well.
Thank you for doing Catherine Parr. As an ordained Methodist clergywoman, I owe her a debt of gratitude for her influence in Elizabeth I thinking and consequent worship reforms that are still the foundationof our liturgy. You did an excellent introductory summary of her life. 🎉
Agreed. Maybe having the intro with the speaker on camera-with the speaker appearing again to introduce the facial recreations, too. Also, having the microphone bobbing up and down was somewhat distracting for me. Otherwise, it was lovely to see our host!
Becca! How wonderful to see your beautiful face! Most vloggers don't realize how important it is to actually have a face to go with the voice. Makes you more real, like your recreations! Been enjoying your channel for a while now, ty for all you do! Katherine Parr was truly an interesting lady!
I love the new format! You're such a natural, and so talented! Everything you do in this endeavor (everything you BOTH do) is so polished... so well-written... well produced... and expertly presented. It holds my attention from beginning to end (and often from beginning to end AGAIN). The story-telling, the music, the pace, the historical images... it all comes together to weave a living image that help today's viewers immerse themselves in another world, and to have a better understanding, and appreciation, of history. Bravo, you! Well done! --- My husband and I wish you continued success! 🍷🍷 ~ Allen & Mike
I enjoyed your original format, I found it easier to focus on what you were saying. With less writing to read and more photos, this matched perfectly with your well researched historical stories.
Love the new format! I was able to see the great Six Lives exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery. The newly identified portrait of Katherine is so evocative; you see strength in this painting behind her eyes and her love of finery! She was such a fascinating, interesting woman with quite a brain and so much bravery.
AHHHHH YOUR SO PRETTY and the narration is wonderful as always, it was amazing seeing your face!! The recreation, the research, ah I love everything about this channel I’m never unsubscribing ❤
Awesome! I clicked and immediately saw you and it was so nice to see you. Thank you for your real life narrating of these historical subjects (no irritating ai). Thank you for your research and most of all your stunning life like recreations. You bring them back to life and the modern day recreations are just stunning. I must say, using todays technology to bring us these images is appreciated.
Hi Becca, I have been a great fan of your channel and it's refreshing to note that you already included your beautiful face. I was actually wondering what you looked like in your previous videos since all of it were voice overs. Keep it up!!!
It's so exciting to see you! You have an incredible voice but seeing you was fun. I love and appreciate the work you do. If I taught history I'd show your videos in my classes. They're amazing.
Beautiful and incredibly skilled art, beautiful voice, beautiful face, beautiful mind - this is never a recitation of dates, names, and facts - this is a sourced analytical overview with excellent rhetoric and a personal touch. Your channel deserves all the views - with or without your beautiful face, though it is nice to see you. For some reason I always pictured you as an elegant silvery blue dragon recounting the tales of human arrogance over your timeless years - wise and benevolent, pointing out ethical flaws not mentioned by contemporaries due to the foolish standards of the time. It also sounds like you were there, watching the arc of humanity finally coming around to a conclusion you’ve known since it happened. You’re always a beautiful timeless dragon telling the history that you have personally observed and with your brilliant magic to bringing these memories to flesh in your living art. “Let’s take a look at my memories - now.” ❤
@mpgchgo in my humble opinion I do believe that Katherine was a very very beautiful lady, and who had to stay with henry the idiot, because she was probably afraid not to do that because if she wanted to live, she would have had to do what she did
I REALLY enjoyed this video! It's always nice to get to know the person who owns the channel! I'd never heard Katherine's story, and I could relate to the decisions she made along the way. Sooo sad that she died so soon after having her long awaited baby. She would have been an amazing mother, just as she had been for the King's children.
It's good to see you, the person behind your amazing work. Seeing you narrate, gives viewers the ability to connect with you and experience the passion you have bringing the past to life! I love this format!
@@EllieDaisy She kind of did stop it, once she understood what was happening. Maybe it was too little, too late. Also, I think the situation itself is hard to evaluate, because what we know about what happened between them is from Kat Ashley's testimony after the arrest of Thomas Seymour. What is odd about it is that on one hand she condemns what Thomas did, but at one point, she states that she kind of hoped Seymour would marry Elizabeth. So, I'm not sure how to interpret that.
I’m overjoyed with the new format. I love the story of Katherine Parr. Have watched numerous shows on the Tudors. I’m an American with a massive love of British history. A nurse by trade but if I would have had to choose another it would to have been a history professor or librarian at Oxford or Christs Church. Seeing the face behind the soothing and interest grabbing subjects you reenact was a delight! You looked almost exactly as I had imagined granted both you in real life and in my imagination are gorgeous!! Thank you for all of the amazing recreations and history lessons you’ve provided us so far. I look forward to many more in the future! Keep up the amazing work!!!♥️♥️
Just starting the video and I’m so happy to SEE you! You are lovely!!🥰 Editing at the end to say Katherine Parr isn’t praised for her intellect often enough! Thank you for keeping that part of her story. Your recreation is great! She was a beautiful woman!
Your channel is so unique. I can't express how much I've enjoyed learning the backstory of each individual and then have them "come to life" in front of your eyes. Thank you so much. You're genius❤
I always enjoy your videos. The history you provide prior to your art recreations is always well written and delivered, not to mention interesting! I'm still hoping, however, that you'll consider doing Charles Brandon sometime soon. As Henry VIII's lifelong friend, I think he's a decent subject, plus he's described as handsome. 🤗❤️
Nice to see your pretty face. I love your history lessons, the narration of the individuals' lives, of course the recreations and the music compilation is beautiful. I always look forward to your videos, I'm learning so much.
@ hasthgala u are quite correct in that which u write in the video, $ I really do think that Katherine probably stayed with henry the idiot because she was quite afraid not to do it, because she probably knew that henry the idiot would have murdered her
43 pairs of shoes? That's my kind of woman! I've recently discovered your channel and absolutely love hearing parts of history I've never heard. I've often struggled to invision historical figures as actual people, if that makes any sense? Seeing your recreations has really helped me see them for the real human beings that they were. Thank you.
I..I am speechless. Wow. 😮 A few minutes later... A beautiful and well put together video!! And you are lovely! So cool to see the face that's behind the voice. :) I was throughly captivated by this video!! And the reveal of Cathrine as then and what she'd look like today, was simply amazing!! Good job!!
you are amazing! i love your videos and the recreations you make! i can not believe that the woman doing the voice over is so pretty! you have officically become my fav youtuber and my fav history channel ❤❤🧡❤
I have been a fan for a while but for some reason youtube hardly ever reminds me when you post but I see this is the first video with your beautiful face, the video is amazing as always. Catherine Parr is beautiful. And so are you. Have a lovely evening ❤ i love this format with you in it ❤
I'm new to this channel and thank you for the history lessons to all these women in history. I love it. I always wanted to know about Mary Stuart and how it all began and the rest of the story. So wonderful to learn because one can get confused. Plus, the last Queen Katherine of Parr, the last Queen to King Henry VIII. Thank you again.
I am shocked that she was 21 years younger than King Henry, because of all the old maid references I assumed she was at least his age. Wow. She was an amazing woman thank you for this beautiful video!! I absolutely love love your channel❤ ❤ ❤
Loved the recreation of the original Queen Catherine from her portrait. He smile was so lively and animated. The Catherine if she lived today didn’t seem to have the same prettiness and lively smile. All your work is extraordinary! I love watching all your recreations. Thank you!
It has been awhile since I watched your channel. Your gifting is thrilling to me. I enjoy history and the stories you weave for us are captivating! Keep up the marvelous work! ❤
Katherine was truly amazing. So terrible what happened to her body after her death... awful to think of such things happening to anyone, let alone a queen of England!! So glad she has such a nice resting place now. We went to Sudeley recently and saw her tomb, and a lot of artifacts inside the castle from her life. Really interesting... she is rapidly becoming one of my favorites!
