Kitty remains one of my 10 favorite Xmen she was so unique when she came out both with her power, making Logan a deeper character and her romance with Peter. I will always adore her.
Thank you for including Lockheed in her origin story. To me, she's "Han," and Lockheed is "Chewie." They belong together as one. Other channels that had done her story failed to mention him which was very disappointing to her character and development.
It did, it was in Excalibur vol 1. He used Kitty to get into Limbo some time after Illyana died and Kitty had the soulsword. He wanted to get into Limbo to get some mystic metal.
Kitty has always been my favorite character! I badly wish the 92 cartoon would have used her!! I am hoping X-Men 97 will have her in an episode or two!!
My favorite era of Shadowcat (Katherine "Kitty" Pryde) is when she was one of the first founding members of the British super hero team Excalibur. Fun fact: The member of Excalibur called Widget is an advanced robot that can travel to other dimensions. He was created by the reality warping power of the member of the super-villain team called the Crazy Gang called Tweedledope, an ape-like mad scientist who has a savant genius and who can "techno-form" inventions of advanced machines using metal, plastic and glass. He created the robot's form, but the spirit that inhabits the robot is, in actuality, the spirit of the late Kitty Pryde's older, future self, Kate Pryde, from the alternate future timeline of "Days Of Future Past" (Earth-811). After she died when the advanced Sentinel called Nimrod had killed her in that dystopian, post-apocalyptic future world, the Phoenix Force within Rachel Summers had time traveled Kate Pryde's consciousness and intellect combined to the "mainstream" Marvel Comics Universe in the present (Earth-616) and she was reincarnated as Widget, reborn as a member of Excalibur, and living on as a high-tech, sentient robot.
As an X-Men fan since the 80's she was always part of the biggest storylines and the young person on the team so it's krazy to see her grown up as a leader
@xdj2a2 Because in the comics, they fought for Wolverines attention and fatherly approval. Kitty hated that Jubilee was the one who saved him in Australia, just as Jubilee was jealous that Kitty was the only one who could bring wolverines shattered mind back when he became Death. They literally hated each other because of their love for Wolverine, like two sister's fighting for Daddy's undying love. But they weren't the only one's, Marrow for example, thought of Logan as her father/older brother too after he mentored her. We could literally talk for hours about all the female members he's taken under his wing and why they don't get along with each other.
@Karlos don’t be harsh. Both of them are good. You don’t like Jubilee? Congrats to you but you’re in the minority here. I like Jubilee so please back off.
She was my entry point into the X-Men in the 80s as a kid 😁... I remember seeing the Pryde of the X-Men as a 9 year old.. I had a dream about being able to phase and then that was it...MUTANTS FOR LIFE 🤘🏽😎... AND the three years between that coming out and X-Men The Animated Series on Fox ... I learned so much about the X-men from comics ...I was ready for that show 😁. Perfect timing 😊 I still LOVE Kitty Pryde 😎🤘🏽
All superhuman mutants mutate further over the years, becoming much more powerful and a lot stronger as they get older. Secondary mutations are what happens when those powers are not only mastered but they also reach their peak, too.
@@cmat4106 They have mutants like that with one single straight-forward superhuman power. They are the lowest level mutants called Epsilon class. Those were often the most weak and useless mutants like the Morlocks and the majority of the mutants who were de-powered on M-Day. There are exceptions but they are very few and far between. Among them are Eye Boy, Bird-Brain from the Ani-Mates and the surviving Morlocks who were not exterminated by the Marauders. But honestly, why would anyone be interested in Epsilon level mutants unless it was for purely comedic reasons? Secondary mutations are a good thing because they add more to a character who was becoming stale. Look at Dazzler, she started out as just being able to transform any types of sounds into any kinds of light. But then she developed a superhumanly-fast healing factor similar to Mister Immortal from the Great Lakes Initiative, and now she comes back to life and heals any fatal injury in seconds after being mortally wounded. That's a big improvement for Alison Blaire.
@@incubustimelord5947 Eye Boys powers are pretty unique actually. He has about a million different ways to see because of his mutation. Not worth much in a scrap though.
I would rather that she just appear in the M.C.U. as a member of the X-Men and then ultimately become a founding member of Excalibur. Provided that Disney Pictures and Marvel Studios both don't mess up her character's portrayal, of course.
She's important enough as a character. I feel she's warranted a movie at some point. Maybe now that Star Lord is on earth maybe they can team up. They did date in the comics. She even led the GOTG at one point.
No, Kitty did not loose the ninja skills after being freed from Ogun. At end of Kitty Pryde & Wolverine, It's stated that such a soul taint can't be removed. In X-Men: Shadow & Flame it was confirmed that Kitty still had the skills Ogun gave her. In Wolverine: Black, White & Blood, Wolverine admits she had the skill of a ninja master assassin.
X-Men: Days Of Future Past, the live action movie from 20th Century Fox Pictures sucked. Hopefully, the Marvel Cinematic Universe version of the story will be much more comic book accurate.
That was actually Rachel Summers' superhuman mutant power to time travel other people's spirits from the present to the past. They just gave that power to Kitty Pryde in the movie which was nonsense.

3:56 "Towards the end, Storm approached and calmed Kitty down . . ." Sorry, but that was Phoenix (Jean Grey, or more precisely, the Phoenix Force assuming the identity of Jean Grey), not Storm, who approached and calmed Kitty down.
Kate is my favorite X-Men character and its criminal that we havent seen much of her in the cartoons. I hope X-Men 97 change that. Also, I really hope we get to see her in the upcoming Mutant Saga in the MCU
In one of the marvel games she was able to stomp the ground and buildings, cars people, everything on ground level phased through the earth. She's broken
Her intangibility is the most omnipotent phasing power on Earth, even superior to the Vision. She literally phased a giant alien bullet ship ten miles long through the Planet Earth by phasing into the circuits and reprogramming it. She scrambled the bullet so that it phased along with her and almost died in the process. If that isn't Omega Level I don't know what is.
I wonder who will get picked, to play the role of, Earth-616 Realm’s KATHERINE PRYDE, in the brand new (X-MEN) movies? I also wonder when she might get introduced in the (X-MEN) movies?
As I am listening and not watching I was very very confused by your description of days of future past until I realized you were talking about a movie and not the actual story.
Ok everyone tell me! If you could go back in time to tell Stan Lee to give Shadowcat another super power what would it be? For me I would tell him to give her madame rogue’s powers from the original teen titans series which is the power to stretch her whole body to incredible lengths and mimic the appearance of any person at will.

@@incubustimelord5947 I’m willing to have my mind changed but an Omega level mutant is a mutant with an undefinable upper limit that usually can end a planets life. Kitty would had to have shown she can phase an entire planet out of its orbit and throw it off course into a sun or something. It’s possible she can. I’ve just not seen it shown that she has that scale before.
@@Thetazord Granted when she saved the world from the Neo, she had almost killed herself in the process. So perhaps it was just her showing her power's limits. If she could do it again, and then survive on her own without being rescued by Star-Lord, then maybe her power has increased since then. We'll just have to wait and see if she is put in another similar situation for her to have to push her power to the max.
That is the member of the New Mutants called Warlock. He is a member of an alien race called the Technarchy, a species that is "techno-organic", composed entirely out of "living circuitry". His alien race eventually mutated into the Phalanx.

I'm just going to copy/paste my reply here= She should be considered an Omega. She has phased a mile long planet-busting 'bullet' so it would phase through the Earth instead of destroying it. She kept it phased for a looong time, years, before Magneto freed her from the Bullet. She has phased an entire skyscrapper with no problem. On more than one occasion, she has stated she can phase through to other worlds aka phase through the 'walls' between dimensions. This was shown possible with one alternate Cat, back in the Magik miniseries. Also when her powers got a cosmic upgrade for a time, she easily transcended the multiverse in her phased state. There's been clues that her phase powers allows her to be aware of reality alterations. A big clue is that while many can become intangible, some by phase power, she is capable of 2 feats others cannot= 1. Power extension, she can extend her intangibility to others, including entire groups and huge objects (like said skyscrapper) 2. Planetary Dissoence Travel, by phasing to stay in place as the Earth rotates, she can travel east-to-west quickly.

@@Astonio Yeah, we rarely get to see it. I can think of 2 times, there may be a 3rd but can't remember when exactly. One was 1st volume of X-Treme X-Men, in the "God Loves, Man Kills II" story. Striker kidnaps her and is able to wrap her in a adamantium body suit as she fell unconsious where she went to automatically phased state. (this was back when she was still in college and intangability was her natural state) He was able to grab the armor but her phased state extented to him. So as he flew away westward, it triggered her phased-travel Second is in Wolverine & the X-Men, when Kitty was on a date with Bobby, at one point Kitty took Bobby and extended her power to phase him with her. First, she showed him how she used her power to "swim" aka to move through matter, then she phase-traveled: they moved from being in NY to suddenly being in the Midwest and standing on a house as a tornado was bearing down. This was when we see she's improved her power so much she is no longer 'vulnerable to wind', as the high winds of the tornado was not enough to move her. Then they were in a desert (wasn't shown which one but native's dress included robes so could be Africa or Arabia) where Bobby gave out blocks of ice.
@@Astonio Just remembered the 3rd time... again in the X-treme X-men vol 1. This time was when they were fighting Borgin. To bypass his security at his LA HQ, Kitty phases Sage, Magma & Rogue first down into the ground then travels west to the HQ.
I would have referred to her as Kat (of course Disney ruins everything) and summarizing an X-men movie as well as mentioning multiple actors/actresses seems unreasonable.
Since she has ultimate intangibility which allows to be both tangible and intangible and this power doesn’t really have any weaknesses or ways to bypass it, i guess she’s omega level? F*ck I don’t even know anymore.
