because thats the type of person she is. she isn't some dumb bimbo who just falls into the first guys lap that treats her slightly different than what she's normally treated like. she is a morale person who, while sometimes being caught up in the wrong place at the wrong time, always has her heart in the right place. she sticks to the rules but learns to accept that sometimes morality beats legality. she even starts caring for the creatures by the end of the movie. she's what a real woman is like. awkward but kind, hard working and obviously the death of her parents and having to raise her sister at such a young age has made her a bit withdrawn from opening up to people and getting to attached, because she docent want to get hurt again and lose someone. she's a very interesting character and jk Rowling said it herself, its hard for people to love her because we are so used to the one sided woman who magically has everything solved for her and isn't strong and needs a man to help her, just all that Hollywood bullshit. lol I see I went on a bit of a rant but yeh basically Tinas great and people should try understand her character and why she does certain things more
