Why did this type of music and the vibe of this era ever leave? In the late 90's songs like this were what people lived for. Clubs were huge raves. Drugs, dancing, carefree, a belonging. Party's last days, Atlanta, Charlotte, Myrtle Beach, Indianapolis, Wilmington, Asheville. Memories that are forever etched in my brain. Life long friends I wouldn't take a million dollars for the experiences and times as well as places I went.
I'm so glad this was my era! They will never make tunes like this again, the late 80s early 90s was without doubt the best time, we was all smiling back then.
Truly awesome - this track has it all. I've been blessed to have been part of a scene starting with my first Northern Soul 'niter in the early 80s into House / Trance in the 90s and 00s. This is a Top 10 track of all time for me against 000s of tough competition spanning nearly decades! I'll sleep when I'm dead!
Just short of 50 yrs now, analysis I can say is WOW...!!! Flashbacks and tingles from head to toe, how lucky to have been there in the late 80's early 90's....!!!!! F#####G GOOO ON...!!!
Just got here from quickly browsing through some modern "dance" music. "A breath of fresh air" is a grossly understated description of this song and such music in general!
I was on a boat party mid 90's, and they dropped this as we sailed under London Bridge, at midnight, and the pills were just kicking in....I almost lost it, everything was just perfect.
Don't know if it's just me, but when I stick these old skool tunes on, read the comments and reminisce, it gives me the bubble guts and I need a poo. What a tune though guys!
my word danced to this one night in the sugar shack in middlesbrough brought the house down in fact they played it twice just cos they could. cant belive i was part of the old school am nearly forty now brings a tear to my sentimental (if bloodshot eyes) jimmy rothwell, fozzie, brendan k where are you?????????/

we would all be out jumping round to this 15 YRS ago but now were sitting in front of a computer listening to TOP TUNES... technology allowing us to bring back fantastic times,, THATS PRICELESS!!!
@22v68 Was around the same time in Toronto..i've never been to Liverpool, but must have passed you on floor during the trip..hope your still dancin when you hear these tunes..I said IHOPE YOU CAN STILL HEAR !! YES THE MUSIC IS LOUD !! POWERFUL!
I remember being on a boat party going down the Thames, and Basement Jaxx dropped this at midnight as we went under Tower Bridge and everyone's pills came on. Fucking majestic!!
Just unlucky like that lol. The 90s and 2000s were great times for the tunes and clubbing. Do people even go clubbing these days ?. Got visions of hundreds of people today in a club staring down at a phone of doing selfies.
My word this is still a good tune still. No matter how often it is sampled, re-edited, re-mixed and bootlegged, the original never loses it's magic. Awesome.
I'm from Liverpool' I was lucky enough to go to Quadrant Park club and the all-nighters' great memorys of tunes like this. Doves Coke Speed Weed Poppers Acid I took the lot.
Found it after more than 20 years...had only a record on cassette by a dutch radiostation and dont know the name of it. Difficult in the 90 th to find out without youtube and so on ..... :)
@MrShaneburns Lol...me too...I always stood near the speakers, the beats went right through me, almost lifted me up (or was that the drugs kicking in) lol.. God I miss those nights, Es Speed Coke Acid Poppers I took the lot then went back for more..happy happy days :)
