Kathy Griffin defines the word "survival". She has endured so much adversity (most of it undeserving), the loss of her sister and her mother, and dealing with her drug addiction. On top of all of that, her marriage of 3 years ended abruptly. Yet, look at her stamina and optimism. She's always been one of my favorites. Outrageously funny and unapologetic.
Because Barbara had standards for this show. Of course all the demos forget that Barbara created the show. What they’ve turned it into is the complete opposite of what Walters wanted.

This is her life the last 10 years: * She lost her brother to cancer * Her lost her sister to cancer * She got lunch cancer - then her surgery was botched, resulting in her having to get 5 surgeries to try and fix her voice. * Her mother got dementia so bad she would think she would start getting ready at 4am to meet her husband for breakfast (He died in the early 2000's). She forgot her daughter Kathy, and then she died. * She's getting a divorce * She didn't earn an income for 7 years * She spent 1 million dollars fighting an accusation for "conspiracy to assassinate the President of the US" * She tried to commit suicide by taking 100 pills but woke up, she was put under psychiatric hold * 2/3 of her friends abandoned her over the Trump photo - they went on national TV to call her "disgusting" i.e Anderson Cooper. * The MAGA pipe bomber had her on his list to kill her Yeah.. she's not struggling to put food on the table to feed her family, but she has a very rough decade. This is a 64yr old lady with no children, who now has no parents, no siblings, no husband and lost 2/3 of her friends. She is a survivor.

Others said it doesn’t count as abuse when women do it, and that we should forgive her and forget and move on even though she isn’t sorry. The world is so forgiving when women do it.

It took a long time before she was welcomed back onto many of those talk shows, so the “rolling out the red carpet” comment is not really accurate. As far as consequences, not booking jobs because of the photo is one thing, but being investigated by the DOJ for conspiracy to assassinate the President is wildly out of line.
I have always always loved Kathy Griffin. Her jokes brought me out of ppd and anxiety. I remember when news broke of her bloody ketchup photo, some of the ladies at The View did not empathize with her. I am happy to see her now. Rooting for you always, Kathy!

Therefore, God's commitment to be glorified and our goal to be satisfied are not at odds but come to simultaneous consummation in the worship of His Son... who took upon Himself the Wrath that God had towards us in our sinful disregard of Him. A wrath that could never be appeased through man-made religion. Jesus didn't die to turn the world into a paradise, he died so that we could stop seeking paradise in the world... Temporal things such as beauty, popularity, money, sex, racial identity, gender reassignment... can never truly satisfy. BECAUSE WE WERE MADE FOR SO MUCH MORE! We were made to gaze intently into the Eternal Beauty of a majestic King, Father, and God... meet Jesus the Christ. Life is hard, God is good, Glory is coming 😊...
