I searching for excellent pieces to perform for my sister's wedding. I was supposed to go for a Mozart or Bach but I just fell in love at this live performance of Por Una Cabeza. This is just stunning! I had goosebumps all over. I thought this was just tango but why am I teary eyed here? This is like an epic story of romance, tragedy and revenge! In just 4 minutes, the piece contained a lot emotions: mystery, humor, sadness, joy, spite and glory all wrapped together in the grace and sensuality of tango. Magnificent. Just magnificent. Thank you Carlos, Katica and John. This is music at its purest.

Recuerdos de mi padre. ( Memories of my Father. ) As a young boy, my beloved father who emigrated from Cuba in the late 40s. Raised me on the music of Orquestra Aragon and Carlos Gardel. My father loved Gardel and the Tango. Wow could he dance the tango.. At times, while he was trying to teach me the dance. He would critique my dance moves by telling me . Mi Hijo ( My son ) dancing the tango, " Is a vertical expression of horizontal desires " . My late father was an artist, a writer, a painter, sculpter, with the heart of a poet. His legacy lived on through me, During the disco era growing up in NYC and The Salsa era. I was quite the dancer and I loved my clubs. FYI, NYC disco in the 70s , was nothing like that "Saturday Night Fever crap" it was the era of Promiscuity. Thank you for sharing . That was amazingly beautiful.
