I remember watching this all the time when I was little, but for the life of me, I couldn't remember the name. I just now found it, and oh my gosh, the nostalgia!
I never knew this was a book series but the way the narrations are done it is very much like a book. so it does make sense. As a blind viewer of the show I never needed to ask anyone what was happening on screen. one of the only shows even now where i dont have to.
I knew exactly what time this show came on, exactly what channel to turn to, and was always ready with my chair and a bowl of cereal when this came on in the mornings. I loved it and can't wait to introduce my nieces to it.
thank you, thank you and thank you a million times! this is wonderful to fimd. I have missed this show so much. a wonderful memmory from childhood. leslie Nielson did a wonderful job narrating this show, rest in peace, Leslie.
I loved this show so much as a little girl. My name is Katie and my father and I would watch this together when the weather kept him from working. I miss this show so much and this is the only episodes I have seen online. I wish this show was easy to find! Thanks for posting it :)
Oh, I adored this show! Thank you so much for sharing it! I love the limited animation. It's entertaining without being over-stimulating. It reminded me of the old Richard Scary programs that I used to watch on VHS as a little girl. I would love for my nephews to be able to see this, now.
Omfg this was my show when I was 7 I love this it was my favorite show every time I would get up in the middle of the night this show would be on and I would watch it and I really miss it but now I still watch it and I still love it it made me cry after because my child hood seemed like it was too short
I remember this show on disney! Please upload more! I remember the eppisodes about people with disabilities. Touching as I'm blind myself. Also the eppisodes about the divorced parents and going to the zoo and the native american pow wow.
This show was awesome. Still is. If you have more I'd love to see it. I had 4 videotapes full of this show, but I never got them converted. I'd love to share this with my kids... Thank you for uploading it!
I was really intrigued by this show back in the day. It never aired very often in my country, but when it did, the kooky theme song and animation style caught my attention. I still remember when Katie and Orbie reappeared on TV in January 2000 before disappearing again that month. That was the last I ever saw the show on TV.
I remember falling asleep with my tv on family channel and waking up around 2-4 am and this being on. I remember thinking “this is the first of the morning time little kid shows” while falling back to sleep. I wasn’t a huge fan of this show, it made me feel a little anxious I think. I’m not sure why, to this day I still have anxiety issues in general lol. Watching this now as I’m almost 19, it’s giving me a feeling of peace; like when everything was simple and I had literally nothing to worry about other than what I was having for lunch the next day. I miss being a kid, I’m so happy something so simple like an old tv show I barley even watched as a child could make me feel so overwhelmingly nostalgic.
is it weird that as much as I liked the show as a young child the real nostalgia was for the real old PVR interface? We had what looks like the same one and even at that age my mind was blown by it :3
I liked this show as a kid. Katie's so cute (in a little kid way). Crazily enough, I forgot Orbie existed, but remembered Chance. I wish the rest of the series could have aired in my country (the US), but at least there's video sides like RU-vid.
I remember how much I hated as a little kid how the animation never moved in real time. I thought something was wrong with the show... but since it was on Disney Channel I would watch it even though I found it boring. I know I liked the theme song. I remember being at my cousin's house in another state on her swingset and singing "It's Katie and Orbie and Dizzy Devil Dorbie" for a reason I don't understand today. XD I never realized how epic the music interstitial at 00:25 is.
Oh geez, I remember I used to be quite intrigued by this show as a child, mainly because when I was in kindergarten I used to have a crush on a girl named Katie :P
I liked this show as a kid too, and also had a crush on a girl with that name (Though this was in 5th Grade and by then I probably hadn't seen Katie and Orbie in a few years. I've also known this girl since earlier in Elementary School. We're the same age and started school on the exact same day).
Look Out for the DVD's on ebay.com.au as Australia released Two volumes with season 6 episodes, or expressmedia.ca has seasons 1,4,5 and 6 available for $20 each. I Bought a copy of season 1 and they work well.
Regardless of your being facetious, you've got to remember that not only do people use emoticons in a serious manner, but in this forum a LOT of people can see that as picking a fight.
Can change anything you want! "You mom, dead. Alien, gone. See the house? GTFO. I wish I didn't look like a dude. This stop motion crap, we're done with that. Puppets. Move it people."
What really baffles me the most about this show is that Katie and the entire town community are not in the least bit startled from the fact that there's an extra-terrestrial alien roaming around their neighborhood. They're not even concerned if they may suffer some contagious alien virus that Orbie might be carrying. And yeah, in real life, the government would be all over everyone's asses and quarantine the town most likely.
It was indeed, and intentionally so. I remain firm in my confidence that my previous comment's mock-superior demeanor and frowny-face emoticon made its facetious nature reasonably clear upon close inspection (if not at face value).
The first story is... not a good lesson. If you're having a bad day, you deserve to be mad about it. Changing the way you feel is all good AFTER you've expressed frustration, which kids should be taught to do in a healthy and appropriate way since life is gonna throw a lot of it their way.
i didnt like this show when i was little. i didnt remember anything about it except the song! its cute and endearing but i wish there were more frames!
Fuck this show i’d wake up in the middle of the night and I wanted to die cuz this would be on -_- I don’t know what about it I hate I just do and always have
