@@brianvanwagner4802 I don't think of Trump as an "intellectual"- He's too grounded in the real world. His degree is in economics, which he applied in his business. His business is a practical one, getting tangible things done, directing people and making deals both locally and on an international stage for decades. I think that his experience informed some of his more remarkable accomplishments as president like having a dialogue with Kim Jung Un and his progress, sadly cut short, on the Abraham Accords. But does he sit around actively pursuing status as an "intellectual"? No. He's too busy solving problems and building things. Leftists hate that. Leftists hate everything that isn't all about them.

I grew up poor. I wore hand-me-downs in high school. Sometimes we didn't have meat for dinner. I was so envious of the kids who had more. Instead of hand-wringing, I worked hard - ended up living all over the world and America. Took vacations, bought a house, raised a good son. I don't have a whit of envy for ANYONE of the elites. I pity them for their closed minds and narrow views. Their money didn't buy them intelligence, compassion or worth.

I have been many things in my life. I'm older now and make a living as a busker (performer) in Central Park. I make giant bubbles that tourist families pose with and take pictures. They usually put a dollar in my bucket as appreciation. One morning Katie Couric was in the park with her daughter. They wanted a picture of the bubbles but refused to offer a tip, even when I politely pointed out that this was how I made my money. Her response was "I'm Katie Couric. I'll put you on my Instagram page." I replied, "I can't spend that at the grocery store." She left in a huff, offended that her celebrity status wasn't enough to get her free photos of the bubbles!
