We decided to take the ECR and Fargo out for an overnight on the Katy Trail with the theme being...meat. That's right, purchase, cook, and eat some meat item while bikepacking. Hope you enjoy :)

Did Sedalia to Washington Mo. several times. We are so lucky to have the longest stretch of rails to trails in Mo. You could really camp almost anywhere along the Katy. I must confess we always did bed and breakfast places.

HOLY COW! The bear creek trail you started the video with is 2 blocks from my house! I love the trails thru this area and do Columbia to st charles on the Katy a couple times a year.

Very nice. I've ridden the whole Katy Trail twice and eastern end of it a few times. It's been a while, I need to get back and ride it again.

I feel fortunate that we have it right here in our back door basically. Easy to take it for granted, but a great trail with some fantastic views.

If you ever do something like this again, you need to stop at Jennings in New Franklin. It’s 3 blocks North of the Katy in downtown. Awesome selection of meat and snacks that would be perfect for this!

Great video of the Katy always a great ride. You ever do the peddlers jamboree on the Katy? Just ordered a Fargo looking forward to riding it.

We've not participated in it, but it might be on the the list for this fall since they have pushed it back. Hopeful that it will happen.

@1015 Your entering what i assume is a camp ground office. What's the location and do they require reservations? When out on bike trips reservations are a problem as they force specific distances and sometimes that is a distraction in and of itself.

Katy Roundhouse was the name of the campground. At the time they didn’t require reservations and it was the honor system of pay money into envelope and drop in the slot. This was prior to virus stuff so not sure if there are different requirements now.
