Great review Dean. 😎 Another hit from kaustic Plastik. I think the thing that stands out about the second headsculpt is the paint application around the teeth…it looks a little too dark from what I can see. I really appreciate you being a straight shooter in your reviews-and trying to be objective without being overly critical Dean. Kaustic plastik knocked it out of the park again with this one. 👍 The only issue is the paint application with the separation of the teeth. We as people usually view teeth as one mass…not each individual tooth. 🤔
Amazing review as always Dean the only channel worth watching. I’ve purchased many figures off the back of Deans reviews and never been disappointed he tells it like it is no bull.
I just got the exclusive edition myself about 3 days ago, and I'm absolutely loving this figure in my collection. Was looking forward to a review video of this figure from you and wasn't disappointed. I myself wasn't a fan of the smiling headsculpt and also went with the neutral expression, which looks absolute stunning. I can't tell myself what the absolute issue is with it, but I'm guessing youre right, it must be the paint application. Aside from that, i think this figure and all it's accesories came out really well done, and can't wait to see what they come up with next, especially with the Bloodsport line.
Got mine two days ago ( haven’t tried the Jukebox yet). Two complaints first you’re right the smiling sculpt isn’t good. Thankfully the other one is really good and it’s the one I wanted to use anyway. Second they should have included at least a right hand fist which he used to turn on the Jukebox in the show almost every episode. Overall very happy with him.
Overall, this is a solid figure release on the part of Kaustic Plastik. The default head sculpt looks really good. Henry Winkler's likeness as Fonzie is spot on accurate. However, the second head sculpt looks off and it's nowhere near as good. Other than that, everything else is exceptional. The clothing has some really nice stitch work and tailoring. The blue denim jeans look like denim jeans. The brown leather jacket looks like a leather jacket. The boots look great. I've never seen a jukebox come included with a 1/6th scale figure, especially a working one like you get with Fonzie. I like the accessories. I appreciate the fact that they are magnetized, which is also something that you don't usually see with 1/6th scale figures. I absolutely love the box art. Kaustic Plastik have passion and love for the character and it clearly shows in the final product. Aside from the second head sculpt, this is a wonderful piece. Congrats on getting this one! Thanks, Dean! I always appreciate the hard work, passion, and dedication! Keep it up! God bless and stay safe!
Hi Dean! I really ❤ your entire Happy Days exclusive edition. I'd remember watching Happy Days in the 70s since I was a Kid back then. My favorite Character from Happy Days was Fonzie too. Also my favorite quote from him was AAAAA! The Fonzie 1/6 Scale looked so Marvelous. I'd enjoyed the Video. Thanks once again for Sharing! 👍👍😎😎😎
Correctamundo! Great review of a fantastic figure. Only a couple of things worth mentioning. A clenched right fist would've been nice for the iconic bang on the jukebox pose. The other thing, at least on mine is that the boots when viewed from the bottom seem off, like curved the wrong way. Not a deal breaker by any means as it's not noticeable from the top but still slightly annoying. Other than that it is perfect. Thanks for all the cool videos. Cheers
This is a beautiful figure 🎉 Perhaps I'm late to the party but there seem to be lots of interesting and exciting Pop culture icons coming out lately in 1/6 scale 👏😎👍 Kurt Cobain has some company now
One of the rare occasions where I disagree with you Dean; I think both portraits are great. My only nitpick is the hair, the stranding could be finer and paint looks like it's been dolloped on too thick. It also looks a bit crude around temple lines. That aside, this another awesome Italian job.
My reaction to the open-mouthed head sculpt is the same as yours. There is something off about it, so I will likely always use the neutral sculpt. Perhaps I will put the laughing sculpt on one of my ThreeZero Fallout Power Armor figures and have the Power Armor figure do the thumbs up. Back to Fonzie : the only thing that really bothers me on both head sculpts is the paint application at the hairline looks very harsh and "artificial." Perhaps the use of a slightly lighter tone for Fonzie's hair would have mitigated this unintended effect. Otherwise a great offering. I am very anxious to get mine.
