Celebrity Dolls NOBODY Asked For | Fashion & ACTION Figure Doll Toys of the 70s, 80s, 90s 

I got a Brooke Shields doll (the blue sweater and leggings version) for Christmas when I was a little girl! My older cousin promptly took off her clothes and made her moon people from the windows of my brand new dollhouse 😵‍💫 Ah, the 1980s.

I would steal my brother's GI Joe doll. He and my Barbie had date nights. Thank you for bringing back memories.

When I was about five years old (1978), I wanted a Cher doll sooooooo badly!!! But…little boys in rural Virginia did NOT receive dolls for Christmas in the ‘70s…or ‘80s or ‘90s or… Anyway, when Cher dolls came back during the “Believe” era, I finally got her, along with the “If I Could Turn Back Time” version the following year. I love them even more than I probably would have all those years ago!

The Andy Gibb one looks like Helen Hunt 🤣 all those dolls were uuuuugly!

I had the Michael Jackson doll shown here , still do actually, about 40 years later 😊…..I actually had the Donnie and Marie dolls as well, but the Donnie doll ended up getting his face all scratched and cut up because, according to my older brother “he went on a secret mission with GI Joe and got injured” 🤣🤣🤣

I had a Julia Doll in her nurse uniform. She was one of my favorite at the time. What a great role model in the Barbie line of dolls that empowered me as a girl.

I had a Cher doll when I was in the 2nd grade in 1975. She had a silver and black gown on and I loved it so much I snuck it into school so I could play with it at recess..I was teased mercilessly for having a Cher doll.

The head from the Captain doll was reused as the head for Paul Stanley in the KISS line of figures by Mego. They had the hair and painted the face.

I never had any of these dolls but I did get to meet Toni Tenille back in the early 90s. She sang with the orchestra I played in during our annual Christmas sing along show. We both had colds and I gave her a cough drop! 😂 Very nice lady and a great voice.

I was a doll collector early on, and got a Shaun Cassidy doll for my 14th birthday in 1978.

I had the pink sweater version of Brooke Shields. I loved her. Despite being a young kid back then, I had seen The Blue Lagoon. I can’t imagine any parent today allowing their child to watch that movie. Different times, I suppose.

Since my dad nixed a "sissy" ez bake oven for me as a kid, I lucked out and got a bearded, muscled GI Joe instead! The irony...and that Hammer interview made me spit my coffee! Hysterical!

I live in Sweden and was very interested to learn that ABBA even had dolls! If I’d have known of their existence in those days I’d have a collection of them all! One strange thing though…they were boxed with Danish text, ok it’s still Scandinavian but ABBA we’re definitely Swedish! I enjoyed this video, so thanks for making it! 😊

3:38 Years ago, I successfully bid on ebay for a Donny Osmond doll for my mother (who is a huge Donny Osmond fan) it brought her and still brings her such great joy since she grew up watching Donny and Marie. And I'm glad I was able to get her the doll she always wanted to have.

I found a Julia doll, and Twiggy doll at a thrift store, and some Barbie clothing that was mail order only. My niece, had the Jem Dolls 😊.

In the 1970s I owned a Cher doll and a Dorothy Hamill doll. My favorite of the two was Dorothy Hamill. 🧸

I remember the day I got my first Cher doll. I could have died from happiness. Later that day, I received the whole Montgomery Ward exclusive wardrobe.

I wasn’t even aware of those 80s dolls. I would have loved the Wonder Woman doll. I loved Wonder women! My friends always had toys that I wanted.

My neighbor had the Bionic woman and Million dollar man & the accessories were so awesome.

I remember The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman. Mork from Ork. Laverne and Shirley and they also made Linny and Squiggy. I did have all of these as a kid. Im 52 now, and I still have Mork from Ork, Six Million dollar man and Linny & Squiggy, although Linny & Squiggy have seen better days , lol.

I had the Donnie and Marie doll set. They came with microphones to sing their latest hits. We also had the 6 Million Dollar Man action figure (a paltry sum for all of his custom bionics which would be closer to $600M and a few contracts with DARPA today). He had a “bionic” eye, but no sound effects whatsoever.

I had a Honey West doll in the mid-sixties. She was a character in a TV show played by Anne Francis.

I had a Cher and Marie doll growing up. I even had the stage for Marie to sing! I found a Marie doll in the box at a second hand store a few years back and I still have her. I was so obsessed!

I had a Cher doll, chewed her fingers as a kid. But my favorite was my Marie Osmond doll. Her body was able to fit in all Barbie clothes. I took her everywhere.

I had a small handful of the dolls mentioned and some others not mentioned. What I have never owned in my life is a Barbie doll, as my mother refused to buy them for me (or my sister) because she thought Barbie was ugly. The other kids made fun of us mercilessly. No wonder I have been in therapy for 33 years. Nevertheless, I loved this video. p.s.: My favorite doll that I owned out of the ones that were shown was the Cher doll and recognized the silver and black dress as well as the red one with the dragon on it. Oh how I miss her!

These dolls bring back memories. One of my cousins had Cher and the original Charlie's Angel's dolls. I knew a neighbor use to have both Donnie and Marie. I still have Diana Ross. Three of the original StarWars 12-inch action figures. One 12-inch lndiana Jones. Three 1990s Hasbro 12-inch action figures.

I had the first Cher doll, she was terrifying! They improved for sure. So many of these dolls look like they’re just desperate to get out of their boxes. But I’ve always stuck to the mod era Barbies, though I did go insane for the better Xena dolls. They were awesome. I’d have loved a Wonder Woman doll and… those Abba dolls, in all honesty they’re as hilarious as the Andy Gibb doll. And now Mattel have done a gorgeous Stevie Nicks doll! I’ve been hanging out for that one. Was there ever a Freddie Mercury doll? It would be so cool if they did a Bohemian Rhapsody era doll. I loved this so much, thank you!

I got one of my male friends a KISS action figure (Peter Criss with kitty makeup) when we were in college (Y2K era) and he loved it. My older cousins had the Donny & Marie dolls as well as the Cher dolls. I am a Xennial and I remember we had Spice Girls dolls, too.

I remember one that has a vintage store close to my place which he had all the abba dolls boxed and he was sale them all for 1000 plus euros! After the internet came in our lives ppl like him didn't knew the value of stuff like those,but when they started learning they knew how to hit in the head with prices like those! I also remember my self in the 80 through 90s that we had a record player in my house and we have an abba vinyl to this day,and i was putting and hearing some music i liked music like that and still hear it to this day! 😉 I would love to also have their vintage figures standing next to me as a classic toy since i also love retro toys!

This was an absolutely hilarious trip down memory lane.♥ I had the Diana Ross doll. I don't remember asking for it and I honestly don't remember them advertising that doll, but I know my mom and dad loved the Supremes later known as Diana Ross and the Supremes. Her nails were so long that I actually used to scratch myself! I loved painting them of course, red was her favorite. LOL Her lashes were really long and eventually they fell out. 😭You know the 6 million dollar man and woman probably should have been on this list. I had the Lindsay Wagner doll and she really had a mannish look to her LOL but I loved that she made the creaking noise from the show.

I had old Shirley Temple and Deanna Durban dolls. I think we might have even had the Dionne Quintuplets dolls, made in the 1930s. They weren’t of my generation, but my mom’s. I’m a later boomer, and we had Beatles and Rolling Stones dolls, probably Freddy and the Dreamers and Herman Hermits. I thought the 60s English Invasion celebrity dolls were too creepy for me, and about that time started to grow out of toys, and into skateboarding, bikes and roller skates
